Didn't look at his game by game until just now. Had no idea he had a piss poor performance last time out. What emotional stuff are you referring to, though? The bet was based more on fading Morrow against boston's superior hitting, though.

I took washington big because pinny was moving and went to -107 while heritage was still +101. not as good of a bet when the line has settled at -102, but I still like washington to win > 50%

During his last game, Lester could be seen visibly upset by judgements made first by home plate umpire Jerry Layne and then Mike Estabrook (who jumped behind the plate starting in the fourth inning after Layne’s hand injury). Those were the kinds of things that would irk Lester last season to the point where he would unravel, lose focus, and many times, lose the game. It was something Lester cited in spring training as one of the things he knew he needed to work on.

The BoSox play -- especially the over and TT over -- was obvious given what Pinny was doing with the numbers. I just couldn't bet it, but in retrospect, the writing was on the wall (I posted about it in my thread about 10 minutes before first pitch).

Can someone catch me up on why Gio and Doc got lit up again today? Are those two + Cain autofade's / overs? When's the last time 3 top 20 starters have all of the sudden lost everything at the same time?

I think Gio's having control issues. From what I've seen of Cain and Doc, they're just leaving everything over the middle of the plate. I'm not convinced that there isn't something physically wrong with Cain. Halladay just seems to not be "aging" well, and for a guy who lived on the corners, he can't seem to spot anything anymore.

Good job bud....the 1st month is always the hardest.! Soon we will have enough at bats, innings pitched to make a more informed decision and thus increase the probability for the expected out come....for me it's one more week until the re-stricter plates come off........................gl
