Online Betting Experience

As a “small-scale” operator in the Michigan market, the expectations for Four Winds Online Casino and sportsbooks weren’t exactly sky-high. Our Four Winds Casino review 2022 got what we thought from our overall wagering experience - Four Winds is fine, but far from elite. 

Four Winds, while lacking a certain “flair” that is present with a host of their competition does offers its clients a respectable overall wagering experience. Access to the online wagering product is good – you can participate in their wagering experience through “instant-play” on the website itself, and there are downloadable versions of the product on the website as well as the App Store and Google Play. 

Four Winds has, like most sportsbooks operating in the Michigan market, been able to streamline and simplify their sign-up procedures, their banking, and bet-slips, making their experience a pleasure for both novice and experienced gamblers alike.  

The company has called on some of the best global providers of online gambling software to bolster its offerings. Such names as NetEnt and IGT give the site some added credibility. 

The menu of sports is on the weak side, but satisfactory for the average Michigan bettor. The selection of bet types is on par with the rash of competition that Four Winds faces with an OK selection of live betting opportunities. The odds are also very competitive. 

But the overall Four Winds betting experience is hindered by its size. It is obviously difficult for such a site to keep up with the biggest, most well-funded global sportsbook names in the business. That said, Four Winds does check a lot of the boxes, while not enthusiastically so.

Website Experience

So, how does the website rate in the crowded Michigan market? 

There is good and bad when it comes to answering that question. Simply put, our Four Winds Casino and Sportsbook review was not blown away by our overall website experience… but we weren’t exactly turned off either. 

The first thing we noticed was a somewhat blah interface – their burgundy and black background wasn’t as inviting and inspiring as much of the competition in the Michigan market. 

Once we got past the underwhelming first impression, our Four Winds website experience fell into the “average” category. The platform was easy to access and download and navigation was a snap, thanks in part to an uncluttered and simple interface. Four Winds lacks the “bells and whistles” of other sites in the Michigan market. There are those that think this is a plus, and others that think this is a negative. 

The overall performance of the Four Winds Online Casino and Sportsbook website was fine. It loaded quickly, both on the instant-play platform and the downloadable iOS and Android apps. Transactions and transitions between various aspects of the site were accomplished with ease and directions on how to do so were well laid-out. 

Navigation was quick and painless, and the responsiveness and intuitiveness of the product was very good – enough to make us forget that we were dealing with a smaller online gambling brand… for a while. 

Overall, the website experience did fall short of elite status in the Michigan market. It did rate as “OK” with the knowledge that the brand doesn’t have seemingly endless financial backing and subscribers to take it to the next level.

That said, there is still a host of live betting  options with all of the company’s wagering markets. We found up to a dozen live betting opportunities at times. 

Thankfully, all of the live betting options were supported by necessary real-time stats and timely updates of odds. 

Four Winds has yet to offer streaming services with their online sports betting product – something that we hope the brand considers going forward.

Casino, Poker, & Other Gaming Options

Four Winds Online Casino and Sportsbook lives in conjunction with one of the biggest and most recognized retail casinos in Michigan. Our Four Winds Casino and Sportsbook review 2022 was expecting big things from their online casino.

We found a decent, not great set of online casino gaming options. We counted about 250 separate gaming options from some of the top online casino software providers in the world. Slots, unsurprisingly make up the majority of the online casino options. There are also variations of Blackjack, Roulette, and Video Poker options. 

We were a little disappointed to see no live casino options with Four Winds. There are no craps, keno, or bingo options either. 

Again, Four Winds gets just an “OK” rating for their online casino. We were certainly hoping for more.
