Sports Leagues to Bet On

For major sports, ClutchBet has plenty of options to keep you entertained. For sports outside of the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college sports, and soccer, you may want to look at some of the national sportsbooks.

NFL Betting

The NFL betting shelves are stocked with options on the ClutchBet sportsbook. Not only will you find the mandatory spread, moneyline, and totals, but clicking on each game opens up several more opportunities to bet on them. Each matchup features alternative spread and totals bets, and same game parlays which offer high odds. Player prop markets cover touchdowns, as well as rushing, receiving, and passing yards, plus head-to-head player matchups, margin markets and parlay doubles. If game props are more your thing, they have those as well with a wide variety of markets including halftime/full time winners.

Its futures are fairly limited. As of this writing, you can only wager on the Super Bowl, conference, and division winners.

NBA Betting

There is much to choose from in terms of NBA betting options at ClutchBet. On top of all the main markets of ML, total, and point spread, many games offer close to 200 more betting markets. Team totals, quarter markets, half markets, and an assortment of player props can be found for every game on the slate. For futures, you’ll be able to bet on outright, conference, and division winners plus player awards such as MVP and Rookie of the Year.

College Football

You won’t have trouble finding college football betting action here. Each Division I FBS game for the week is open several days in advance giving you plenty of time to place your moneyline, spread, or point total bets. Prop markets are lacking, however, as it is not legal to bet on individual college player performances in Iowa.

College Basketball

No sportsbook is complete without NCAA college basketball. You’ll be able to bet on every Division I game all season long and of course, pick your favorite to win it all. Conference winners are also available in the futures market and much like their football counterparts, individual player props are not offered for college basketball.

NHL Betting

The NHL is a popular sport for bettors and ClutchBet knows it by offering numerous markets to bet on. As always ML, puckline, and totals are available but each game gives you plenty of other options to go along with those. Props on goal scorers, first to score a certain number of goals, as well as individual period ML, puckline, and total bets are listed for every game.

It’s easy to load up your MLB betting card thanks to the wide variety of bets you can place. Digging past the standard game bets you will find first inning, first five innings, as well as player batting and pitching props.

Other Sports Leagues

Outside of the more popular options, bettors will find several secondary sports to place their bets. Despite being a small sportsbook, ClutchBet offers a clean and very easy-to-navigate website experience. Based almost entirely on its Australian parent company BlueBet’s platform, the U.S. version offers almost the exact same layout, even down to the same color scheme.

A three-panel layout keeps you in the action at all times. You are never far away from switching between sports with a full menu available on the left-hand side of the page. On the right, your bet slip is auto-populated as you go and does not disappear making it easy to keep track of which bets you have in your queue. Your bet slip also allows you to stake each bet individually or turn them into a parlay, or even a round robin if you so choose.

One of the best features of the site is the ease of access to each bet. The center panel of the screen serves as your workspace with matchups clearly labeled with the basic three betting options listed alongside. Graphical representation of jerseys are also a nice touch. Clicking on each game gives you access to various player and game props when available. Each is offered in menu form and can be collapsed when not needed.

The website experience overall is standard, but it’s nice that such a small operator has this easy of a layout to master — that’s not always the case.

Mobile Betting and Betting App

The ClutchBet app is a mirror image of the website, Like its web product, the app is easy to navigate making the betting experience less intimidating for novice gamblers while giving the more experienced sports bettors everything they have come to expect from their favorite sportsbooks. 

A quick selection menu gives you access to popular leagues including the NFL, MLB, NCAAF, and NBA. The app also features a simple menu at the bottom of the screen which allows you to access live betting options as well as a listing of all available sports.

When selecting a bet, you are presented with a pop-up screen that will prompt you to enter your desired wager. At first, it is a bit jarring, but you quickly get used to the presentation. Once you place a bet, your bet slip is accessible by a menu towards the bottom of your screen.

Live Betting

Live betting can be accessed by hitting the “Live” tab at the top of both the desktop website and mobile app. Once accessed, you will find bets for whichever live events taking place.

Types of bets vary from sport to sport. For instance, MLB live betting options include a race to certain run totals as well as odd and even totals for both teams.   

Casino, Poker, & Other Gaming Options

Despite its association with the Q Casino in Dubuque, ClutchBet does not offer an online casino at the moment.

ClutchBet History

ClutchBet’s parent company is BlueBet, which has been in operation in Australia since 2015. In April of 2022,they announced it would branch out in the United States later in the year. They selected Iowa as their initial launch point due to several favorable conditions for sports bettors and sportsbook operators in the state. In September of that year, ClutchBet went live. They operate under an agreement with the Dubuque Racing Association which operates the Q Casino. Colorado and Louisiana are on the board as future launch points for ClutchBet.

Many Iowa sports bettors are still learning about their newest option. So far, there haven’t been any reviews on the app store or Google Play store. Although, no negative reviews could be a good thing this early in the game.
