i live in boston and know my patriots very well. this is a terrible pick in my opinion. if the patriots can win this game they should be discussed in the top 3 teams in the nfl. i just don't think that is the case and this spot couldn't be worse. good luck and i do hope they win!

I agree take the Chargers. They are night and day at home. Everyone thinks the Pats are a top team bc they beat the Ravens. Patriots always win off a bye week bc of great coaching. This week will be back to normal and they will show their weak defense and average offense against a team who needs a win. My opinion either take Chargers or just stay away.

The Chargers kicker Kaeding is also out. They are so banged up right now. Ryan Matthews, the running back, will play but is banged up. I think it is actually a great spot for the Pats and locked in earlier this week at +3.

i am looking at the situation for both teams, i don't look at injuries unless rivers or brady are out or maybe a key offensive lineman that is all. most other positions can be filled in for one game.
