History is on the line at the White House as Alex Pereira attempts to become the first ever three-weight-class UFC champion when he collides with Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title in Washington D.C. on June 14. I’ve broken it all down in my Pereira vs. Gane predictions as we draw closer to all the action on Paramount+.
Main card and prelims start times have yet to be announced, but based on prior UFC’s on Paramount+ this year, I expect the preliminary card to begin at 5 p.m. ET, with the main card starting at 9 p.m. ET. Current odds list Pereira as a -115 betting favorite.
🔮 Pereira vs. Gane preview: What to know
Everyone's favourite knockout artist Alex “Poatan” Pereira makes his return to the cage for the first time since last October when he re-captured the UFC light-heavyweight title with a first round stoppage over Magomed Ankalaev. Already a former 185 and 205 pound world champion, the 38 year old has an opportunity to put himself in the record books as the first ever three weight class world champion in UFC history. Looking to put an end to those dreams is French fighter Ciryl Gane who was last seen in action five months ago when he was handed a No-Contest after an unfortunate eye poke put an end to his fight with Tom Aspinall. Pereira is currently a slight -115 favourite, and all the festivities can be seen on Sunday June 14 live on Paramount+, with the main card expected to go off around 9 pm ET.

Ciryl Gane moneyline (-105) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Nobody is doubting that Pereira is a special talent, but it feels like he bit off more than he can chew this time by moving up to heavyweight. A former 185-pound fighter, the Brazilian has made a career out of bullying opponents with his superior size and striking pedigree, but both of those advantages are now off the table in this encounter with Gane. A former interim heavyweight champion once already, Ciryl Gane has never lost in a striker versus striker matchup and will match everything “Poatan” throws at him before securing a decision win after five methodical rounds.
