It took some time to elicit a positive reaction from the collective after West Ham fired Graham Potter and hired Nuno Espirito Santo. Better late than never, though.

The Hammers are starting to come around, as demonstrated by consecutive Premier League wins for the first time this season.  

While the international break couldn't have come at a worse time for surging West Ham, I have faith they'll acquit themselves with the belief and confidence that helped them secure back-to-back wins. 

Beating Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium would represent a behemoth upset for West Ham, indicative of the +440 odds at FanDuel. Those odds imply a probability of just 18.52%. However, the Cherries are coming off successive losses, in which they were outscored 7-1 by Man City and Aston Villa.

Man City has lost just one of its previous 14 matches, a 0-1 setback in Birmingham against Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Newcastle is coming off back-to-back losses, albeit on the road. 

While there is no debating Newcastle's superiority at St James' Park, I'm unconfident in its ability to switch it on after a poor run of form, especially against the indomitable Cityzens. If City is going to win the Premier League, as I predicted before the season, this is a must-win for Pep Guardiola's side. 

Newcastle has endured an inconsistent campaign thus far, providing the catalyst for this pick. A Newcastle in mediocre form is not good enough to upset a Man City squad that is in the ascendancy.

I'm surprised the best sports betting apps haven't yet made Erling Haaland's goal props excessively steep. I'm not complaining, though, as I'm scoring as much on this bet as the Norwegian is on the pitch. 

Haaland scored in the last two games after failing to score against Aston Villa.

His goalless game against the Villains marked just the second time in 11 Premier League matches in which he didn't score. He has 14 goals, six ahead of second-place Igor Thiago. 

His odds to score range from -120 to -140, with DraftKings offering the former. A winning $10 bet at those odds will yield an $8.33 profit.
