Newcastle United need to get their season back on track following a run of bad results. Losing only twice in their first 29 games, they’ve suffered defeat in each of their last three in all competitions.
However, the Magpies still have the best defense in the league, conceding just 17 goals. Their solid backline could be the catalyst for a win on Sunday because Wolves have scored the fewest goals (19) in this season’s competition. Wolves also have the league’s worst shot conversion rate.
Since Julen Lopetegui took charge of Wolves, they’ve won five of 11 matches, including an impressive 3-0 win against Liverpool. Only two of those wins have come on the road, though, and they were to sides currently in the bottom three.
Newcastle’s defense will be too tough to break down, and the Magpies will take the three points if they get a lead. The odds are short, but I feel confident sticking four stars on this play. The Toon Army will be in full voice at St James’ Park, which will be a huge advantage in this match.

Of Leeds' five league wins this season, four have been at home. Before their 1-0 defeat at Chelsea last weekend, the Whites beat Southampton 1-0 at Elland Road, which was new head coach Javier Gracia’s first game in charge. Each of Leeds’ last three results has ended in 1-0 wins for the home team. Before Gracia’s arrival, they hadn’t won in 10 matches.
Their home games are going to be crucial in Leeds’ fight for survival, especially as they have the worst away record in the competition. Brighton have won five of their 11 away games this season, drawing three.
This spread affords us the luxury of a draw with the play. Although wins have been difficult for the Whites this season, I think the long trip for the Seagulls and the Elland Road crowd will be enough for Leeds to get something from this match.

Last week, the Gunners shipped two goals against a Bournemouth side that had scored the fewest Premier League goals since the World Cup break. Fulham’s 3-2 defeat to Brentford on Monday brought us a win for our Over play on Matchday 26.
The Cottagers have lost just three of their 13 home games in the league this season. Meanwhile, Arsenal have won all four of their away Premier League London derbies this campaign by an aggregate score of 8-0. In the history of the English Football League, no side has ever won five consecutive away London derbies while keeping a clean sheet each time.
Fulham attacker Manor Solomon has scored in each of his last five appearances. Only Erling Haaland (10) and Marcus Rashford (seven) have had a longer streak out of Premier League players this season. Only four players have scored more Premier League goals than Cottagers striker Aleksandar Mitrovic (11) in the 2022-23 campaign. Bukayo Saka has scored 10 goals in the competition for the Gunners.
The reverse fixture earlier this season finished 2-1 to Arsenal. Both sides have goals in them, making this a profitable play. I’m confident both teams will deliver in this London derby, as their respective performances suggest, which is why I’m backing this play with four stars.

Kevin De Bruyne has been instrumental in Manchester City’s success since he joined the club in 2015. Earlier this season, Pep Guardiola called the Belgian midfielder one of the best players City has ever had. De Bruyne is just two assists away from 100 in the Premier League. Only four players have reached that milestone in the competition’s history. KDB leads the league in assists this season with 12 so far. He's finished as the league’s top assist provider in three separate seasons.
Palace’s last four league games at home have been draws, and they’re winless in 2023. The Eagles also haven’t had a shot on target in any of their last two matches. During their winless run, Palace have kept just two clean sheets. Meanwhile, City are unbeaten in their last three Premier League away games.
With a victory on Saturday, Manchester City will close the gap on Arsenal to two points, with the Gunners playing Fulham in the London derby on Sunday. De Bruyne’s playmaking ability may be crucial in a tough Selhurst Park encounter.
