All is not well in Tottenham's camp. Then again, I can't remember the last time things were hunky dory on the Lilywhites side North London. Spurs haven't won in three Premier League matches and four in all competitions, mustering just two victories in the previous nine top-flight tilts. 

The one thing that has been going well for the embattled Thomas Frank is his team's away form, as no side has a better record in hostile environments. Unfortunately, I can't see them simply flicking the switch at St James' Park, one of the most inhospitable and challenging places to play. 

Newcastle turning it on at home

Newcastle has turned a corner, too, winning three successive home Premier League matches and six in all competitions. The Magpies beat Man City 2-1 the last time they played at St James' Park, and they're coming off an emphatic 4-1 road victory over Everton. 

As if the adversity facing Frank and Spurs isn't already foreboding, they enter Tuesday's match with an abysmal record against Newcastle, having lost six of the previous seven matches. They suffered four defeats on the bounce at St James' Park, with their last victory on Tyneside coming in 2021.
