My Lightning vs. Red Wings player props today include Alex DeBrincat, Jake Guentzel, and Dylan Larkin.

My NHL picks back two Overs and an anytime goal scorer today. The Tampa Bay Lightning (1-2-1) have a worse record than the Detroit Red Wings (3-1) but still carry shorter odds in the latest Stanley Cup odds. The Lightning are a -152 moneyline betting favorite today, with puck drop from Little Caesars Arena in Detroit set for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN+).

💰 Best player prop bets for Lightning vs. Red Wings

Our NHL player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.

⬆️ Alex DeBrincat Over 0.5 assists (+150) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Despite not lighting the lamp in the first four games, DeBrincat remains the Red Wings’ total points leader. He’s recorded six assists while also leading Detroit in total shots on goal (15), so DeBrincat sitting at +150 to record an assist is a high-value play.

Factor in Tampa Bay goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy, who has struggled in the early portion of this season with a 4.08 goals against average.

DeBrincat’s role on Detroit’s second line and top power-play unit yields tons of scoring opportunities. Let’s bet on DeBrincat to extend his assist streak to four games tonight in a favorable matchup.

His +150 odds translate to an implied probability of 40%, per our odds calculator, with a $10 bet resulting in a potential profit of $15.

⬆️ Dylan Larkin Over 2.5 shots on goal (-125) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Larkin is the only other Red Wings player with more than seven shots on goal. The Michigan native has logged 14 shots while recording at least one point in all four games.

Instead of Larkin’s total points or goal scorer props, we’re going to invest in him as a high-volume shooter against Tampa Bay tonight. After going Over 2.5 shots on goal in three consecutive matchups, Larkin finished Detroit’s last outing (a 4-1 win over Florida) with two shots on goal.

Facing Vasilevskiy, who has yet to find his form, plus earning minutes on the first line and top power-play unit, Larkin is in a good position to return to three or more shots on goal at -125 odds (55.56%). A $10 bet could return a $8 in winnings.

🔥 Jake Guentzel anytime goal scorer (+180) ⭐⭐⭐

Tampa Bay has had a lot of different contributors put pucks in the net this year. Four different Lightning players have multiple goals - but Guentzel is not one of them.

It took four games for Guentzel to score, lighting the lamp against Washington during Tampa Bay’s last matchup played on Oct. 14. The 31-year-old center is still actively involved, though, racking up four assists to join Brayden Point as the team’s total points leaders.

Tonight, Guentzel gets a dream matchup against Detroit goaltender John Gibson. Gibson allowed five goals on eight shots faced against Montreal in his lone start this season. While it’s unlikely Gibson plays that poorly again, it’s too good an opportunity to ignore Guentzel’s anytime goal scorer prop at +180 (35.71%). A successful $10 wager would net $18.
