NHL Player Props Today: Best Bets & Goal Scorer Picks for Wednesday

My NHL player props today feature two Edmonton Oilers, a Chicago Blackhawk who is ripping through opponents, and a New Jersey Devil set to add another helper.

Yesterday's NHL best bets hit on three out of four picks, and I'm confident in a repeat performance in my NHL player props and best bets for today.

With only four games on the docket, my options are somewhat limited. That's not always a bad thing, though, as I feature Connor Bedard, Jesper Bratt, and two Edmonton Oilers - Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

⬆️ Jesper Bratt player prop: Over 0.5 assists (-129) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I backed Bratt to notch a helper against the New York Islanders, and he duly obliged, posting two in the New Jersey Devils' first home loss of the season. Now that he broke his mini-drought, I expect him to add at least one more against a Chicago Blackhawks team he had four assists against in the previous two meetings.

He has 11 assists in 16 games, three more than any other Devil. Of the best sports betting sites, Caesars has the best price on this prop (-129), with the odds implying a 56.33% probability. A winning $10 bet will profit $7.75.

⬆️ Connor Bedard player prop: Over 0.5 assists (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bedard enters tonight's game against the Devils on an eight-game assist streak, with 11. He had five assists in the last two games, scorching the Calgary Flames and Detroit Red Wings on the road. The former No. 1 draft pick has 16 helpers in as many games, two behind leaders Nathan MacKinnon and Evgeni Malkin.

The Devils have represented Bedard's bogey team, as he failed to register a point in four games against them. He's going to fling that devil from his shoulder tonight, and a winning $10 bet at BetMGM or Caesars will profit $8.70.

🥅 Best goal scorer picks today

🔥 Connor McDavid (+155) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

McDavid has finally started taking matters into his own hands, riding a three-game goal-scoring streak into the City of Brotherly Love. He has four goals in that span and will hopefully look to shoot first again on the road versus a Philadelphia Flyers team he's scored three against in the previous five.

If you didn't see his highlight-reel goal against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday, enjoy. If you have, I'm sure you won't mind watching it, whether for the second time or the hundredth.

I'm also a massive proponent of him posting at least two points, which he's accomplished in four of the previous five games.

The odds for McDavid to light the lamp range from +140 to +155, with FanDuel providing the best value. Its +155 odds imply a 39.22% probability, and a winning $10 bet will profit $15.50.

This one is such a hot play that is also features in our Oilers vs. Flyers player props.

🔥 Leon Draisaitl (+125) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I still find it strange to say that Draisaitl is overdue for a goal after just two games without netting. He's that prolific; he's that dangerous. And he's facing a Flyers team against whom he has scored in four of the last five meetings, including the previous three.

He has 10 goals in 17 games, with half of those coming in enemy environments. A winning $10 bet at FanDuel, which offers +125 odds, will profit $12.50.
