The New York Rangers, hosting a Philadelphia Flyers team that played and lost Wednesday in Washington, hit the ice for the first time in three weeks in tonight's game at Madison Square Garden (8 p.m. ET, ESPN). 

I'm backing the road betting underdog (+105) in my Flyers vs. Rangers prediction as I expect Rick Tocchet's team to be the sharper of the two. My headline bet, though, is on the total, with the Flyers Over specialists in the last 10 road games. I'm also featuring a Travis Konecny player prop.

The Philadelphia Flyers' previous four games had six goals or fewer. However, their recent road record screams Over. Nine of the Flyers' previous 10 road games, excluding Wednesday's 3-1 setback in Washington, had at least six goals.

While it's almost impossible to decipher which version of the Blueshirts will hit the ice, they rarely look good defensively.

Igor Shesterkin is still sidelined with a long-term injury, and 10 of the previous 12 Rangers' contests had at least six goals. bet365 offers the best value of the best sports betting sites, and I'd play the pick to -130 odds.

Konecny is the closest thing the Flyers have to a point-per-game player, and he has four assists in the previous five games. He has 32 assists this season and eight in the last 13 contests.

Konecny also has three assists in the last four meetings with the Blueshirts, including two in the previous three at Madison Square Garden. 

Konecny didn't notch a point in the last two, and he hasn't had a three-game pointless streak since late November. bet365 offers +105 odds, and I'd play the pick to even-money +100 odds.

The odds opened as a pick'em, but have since moved in the Rangers' favor. Both teams had -111 moneyline odds when the betting lines opened. 

The Flyers' odds lengthened to between +105 and +110 for two primary reasons. They played on Wednesday in the nation's capital, losing to the Washington Capitals.

While I don't think the rest disadvantage is a big, considering most players had three weeks off, is probably impacted the odds movement. 

Their 3-1 loss to the Capitals would have negatively impacted their odds, too.
