Bruins vs. Flyers Prediction & Odds: NHL Picks Today (Feb. 28)
Last Updated: February 28, 2026 6:30 AM EST • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
Boston's Jeremy Swayman and Joonas Korpisalo one-two punch continues to impress, and I'm expecting another standout performance from presumed starter Swayman in my Bruins vs. Flyers prediction for this afternoon's game at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia (3 p.m. ET, ABC).
Despite taking at least a point in their last eight games, the Bruins are the slight +100 moneyline underdog. Along with the game and total prediction, I'm headlining a Charlie McAvoy player prop, with the gold medalist looking to extend his assist streak.

💰 Bruins vs. Flyers prediction & best bet
Bruins ML (+100)
The Bruins got off on the right foot after the restart, snapping the Columbus Blue Jackets' seven-game win streak. They're on an eight-game point streak, having lost in overtime three times. My only concern is their recent road record, with three successive defeats in enemy rinks.
However, the Flyers have lost seven of the previous eight at home and were dismantled by Boston 6-3 in their last meeting about a month ago.
I'm also keen to see Swayman in his first game back after the break, as I believe he'll be on top form after witnessing teammate Connor Hellebuyck's inspiring performance.
Score prediction: Bruins 4, Flyers 2
🔥 Best Bruins vs. Flyers player prop bet
Charlie McAvoy Over 0.5 assists(+100)
McAvoy was on a six-game assist streak entering the Olympics, and he notched one in the 4-2 win over Columbus on Thursday. The Bruins' defensive ace is also coming off a historic Team USA gold medal, which should increase McAvoy's confidence and self-belief for the foreseeable future.
McAvoy picked up an assist the last time he faced the Flyers, and registered an assist in seven of the previous eight road contests. I'd play this bet to -110.
📊 Live Bruins vs. Flyers odds
The Bruins started as +110 betting underdogs. The line has since worsened, moving to between +100 and -105.
That's probably due to how well they played in the first game back against the surging Columbus Blue Jackets. While that game was at home, the Bruins have continually shown they are the real deal, thanks in large part to Jeremy Swayman and Joonas Korpisalo's superb one-two punch.
💡 How I'm betting Bruins vs. Flyers
Follow all of our NHL analysis and expert predictions this season.
I'm playing 3 units in this contest, as I'm confident in both Bruins' netminders and in how the team is collectively playing. The Flyers beat a poor Rangers team on Thursday and have not been good at home since early January.
The Flyers have been excellent defensively, demonstrated by five straight Unders. While Boston has participated in three Overs in the previous four, I'm backing Swayman, potentially Korpisalo, to help prevent a fourth.
McAvoy is on fire, and that pick speaks for itself. However, I'm not risking more than 1 unit ($10) given the Flyers' recent defensive prowess.
