After a busy Black Monday, the Baltimore Ravens executed the most shocking move of the 2026 NFL coaching carousel when they fired John Harbaugh on Tuesday after 18 years with the organization, which included 180 regular-season wins and a Super Bowl victory.
With Harbaugh out in Baltimore, my Ravens next head coach predictions break down the top candidates based on the latest prediction market odds and my pick to take the job - including my favorite long shot to buy on the prediction markets.

In the immediate wake of Harbaugh's firing, which I break down further in my NFL head coaches tracker, the prediction markets zeroed in on Los Angeles defensive coordinator Jesse Minter as the favorite to become the Ravens' next head coach with as high as a 45% chance within an hour of Baltimore's big move. He's an obvious choice for this job and would be my pick to fill the open position, which I break down more below.
The market settled shortly after with Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski (45%) - among the favorites for other jobs, including the Giants next head coach - jumping into the pole position. He's a two-time Coach of the Year winner with experience in the AFC North and a track record as an offensive genius, though you wouldn't know it from the Browns' offensive showing over the last two seasons.
As of this writing, Stefanski was trading ahead of Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury (34%), San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh (20%), and Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores (20%) - all of whom have prior head coaching experience in the NFL.
🏈 Will Jesse Minter be the Ravens' next head coach?
It didn't take long for the prediction markets to rally around Minter, who previously spent four seasons as an assistant coach with the Ravens before spending the last four seasons working under John Harbaugh's brother, Jim Harbaugh, as the defensive coordinator at Michigan (2022-23) and with the Chargers (2024-25).
While Minter's old boss is out in Baltimore, he's still an intriguing fit for this team given his familiarity within the organization and his reputation as a defensive innovator. That fits well with the type of coaches the Ravens have coveted over the last decade, especially after watching another star DC in Mike Macdonald leave for Seattle and led the Seahawks to the NFC's best record within just two seasons.
Minter and Macdonald's schemes share a lot of similarities - including varied use of personnel and particular designs to frustrate quarterbacks with simulated pressures and coverage rotations - so the Ravens could look to remedy their mistake of letting Macdonald walk out the door by hiring the closest available replacement.
Clearly, the market agrees, though the prices continue to fluctuate as news breaks about the various options on the open market. Don't fall for the smoke coming from social media: Minter is a perfect fit for this role, and he's a great value in the prediction market, too.

🎯 Ravens next head coach long shot
While the same handful of names are floated for every vacancy this cycle - Stefanski, Flores, Klint Kubiak - could the Ravens go off the board with a less conventional hire?
It seems like the predictable route to hire a defensive-minded coach like Minter or Flores or an established offensive mind like Stefanski or Kliff Kingsbury. But what about an up-and-comer like Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady? He helped Joe Burrow put up historic numbers with LSU's offense in 2019 before aiding Josh Allen's growth into an MVP winner as an assistant with the Bills over the last four seasons.
Lamar Jackson clearly wasn't healthy this season, but he also reverted to some of his older habits that offensive coordinator Todd Monken helped correct over the last three years. Could a new voice help transform this offense into the best in football? With Brady trading at just 2%, it's worth a shot before the rumor mill kicks into high gear.
Picking an offensive guru could help the franchise retain its two-time MVP quarterback, too, which we discuss in our breakdown of whether Lamar Jackson will be traded before the 2026 NFL season.
Ravens next head coach long shot: Joe Brady (2%)
❓ How do you trade on prediction markets?
Think of prediction markets like the stock market, but for real-world outcomes. You sign up, add some funds, pick an event (anything from politics to weather to sports to entertainment), and then decide whether you’re riding with “Yes” or fading it with “No.”
Prices bounce around $0.01 and $0.99 based on what everyone else believes, and once the event wraps up, contracts settle at either $1 or $0. You’re not betting against the house - you’re trading against other users and cashing in if your prediction hits.
