The Browns were among the first teams to have a coaching vacancy this offseason, firing Kevin Stefanski on Black Monday. We're digging into the Cleveland Browns next head coach prediction market.
With John Harbaugh joining the NFL fired head coaches tracker, this race has been shaken up, but the same man is at the top of the list: Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. The Browns' offense has been struggling mightily while wasting the efforts of the team's daunting defense, so an offensive mind might be the right choice in Ohio.

Note: As of Wednesday morning Kingsbury remains the favorite at 15%. Widgets may be behind actual pricing found on Kalshi.com.
Kliff Kingsbury, who has spent the past two seasons as the offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders, soared up to a market-leading 18% right away before dropping slightly, then moving up to 38%...and then settling back down to 15% following John Harbaugh (14%) suddenly becoming available.
Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak isn't far behind him at 14%.
🏈 Why is Kliff Kingsbury the favorite?
Injuries derailed Kingsbury's offense in Washington this season, and particular the issues star quarterback Jayden Daniels endured.
But last year the Commanders flourished under Kingsbury, and especially Daniels en route to being named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the year.
The success from Daniels was central to an offense that finished fifth leaguewide while averaging 28.5 points under Kingsbury's leadership. That contributed greatly to the Commanders going on a surprise run to the NFC Championship Game after a stunning upset of the Detroit Lions.
🤠 Can Deion Sanders be head coach of the Browns?
Deion Sanders, who's getting an 8% chance, has experienced some success at the college level, though his Colorado Buffaloes struggled to a 3-9 record this past season. But his ties to this opening are less about wins and losses, and more about who's under center for Cleveland.
Shedeur, Deion's son, finished the season as the Browns' starting signal-caller over the final seven games. The rookie struggled while throwing just seven touchdown passes and 10 interceptions, and averaging 6.6 yards per attempt.
Browns general manager Andrew Berry wouldn't commit to a starting quarterback for 2026, according to ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi. Nonetheless, his father will be linked to Cleveland as long as the head coaching job is open and he's on the roster, especially after Shedeur rose up in Colorado under Deion.
Our Andrew Reid looked closer at Deion Sanders' chances of coaching the Browns.
🔮 Browns next head coach prediction
Kliff Kingsbury (15%)
The Browns desperately need to rejuvenate their offense after sitting second-last this season at 16.4 points per outing.
Kingsbury may have fizzled during his previous head coaching gig with the Arizona Cardinals. But his prior success with the Commanders, in addition to an ascension up the college ranks with Texas A&M and Texas Tech, should earn him another shot.
The Browns aren't totally talent-deprived. The sources of optimism include Harold Fannin Jr. and Quinshon Judkins on offense, key parts of a 2025 draft class that includes plenty of hits, like Defensive Rookie of the Year odds leader linebacker Carson Schwesinger.
There's hope if you squint just right. A top-tier offensive mind is needed though, which is why Kingsbury is the favorite and most logical fit in this market.
❓ How do you trade on prediction markets?
Think of prediction markets like the stock market, but for real-world outcomes. You sign up, add some funds, pick an event (anything from politics to weather to sports to entertainment), and then decide whether you’re riding with “Yes” or fading it with “No.”
Prices bounce around $0.01 and $0.99 based on what everyone else believes, and once the event wraps up, contracts settle at either $1 or $0. You’re not betting against the house - you’re trading against other users and cashing in if your prediction hits.
