✅ Best ATS pick: Seahawks -1 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Here's what our NFL expert Gary Pearson wrote this week on why he's betting Seattle to cover the spread as road favorites in Arizona:
"The Seahawks' play in the early going has not only passed the eye test, but also the statistical one. With two of three games against teams that should be in the playoff hunt at season's end (San Francisco and Pittsburgh), the Seahawks boast the sixth-best offensive DVOA and fifth-best defensive DVOA. Mike Macdonald's team is also among the top offensive units at PFF, ranking fifth.
DVOA takes into consideration the strength of schedule, which is telling regarding the Cardinals' rankings. Head coach Jonathan Gannon's team is 19th in offensive DVOA and 13th in defensive DVOA after three games, two of which were against teams not expected to make the playoffs (Carolina and New Orleans)."
Pearson also breaks down his favorite bet on the Over/Under and his best player prop bet for Thursday Night Football in his Seahawks vs. Cardinals prediction.
🔥 Best player prop pick: Sam Darnold Over 219.5 passing yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Here's why our NFL expert Matt Jacob is backing Sam Darnold to clear 220 passing yards against the Cardinals' secondary tonight:
"Not surprisingly, the Cowboys have the worst pass defense in the NFL — they’re allowing 288 air yards per game, 22 more than Baltimore. Next up? Arizona, which is yielding 264.3 passing yards per contest. That’s not the most disturbing part, though.
This is: The Cardinals have faced Spencer Rattler, Bryce Young and Mac Jones, three below-average QBs who respectively threw for 214, 328 and 284 yards."
Jacob is also backing Cardinals QB Kyler Murray while fading Seahawks top rusher Kenneth Walker III tonight in his Seahawks vs. Cardinals player props.
💪 Best touchdown scorer prediction: Trey Benson to score anytime TD ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Here's why our NFL expert Esten McLaren is betting on Trey Benson to score a touchdown as one of his best anytime touchdown scorer bets tonight:
"Benson, a third-round pick during the 2024 NFL Draft, makes just his second career start after James Conner was lost for the season to injury last week. Benson was among this week's most popular fantasy pickups after tallying 51 yards from scrimmage on 13 touches in the Cardinals' Week 3 loss. He averaged 4.2 yards per carry while catching three of four targets.
The Seahawks hold opposing running backs to 3.16 yards per attempt, but that hasn't stopped teams from rushing 76 times against them through three games. More importantly for us and this anytime touchdown scorer prediction, Seattle has allowed a league-high 234 receiving yards to running backs, with a catch rate of 81.5%."
McLaren is also backing another Cardinals skill-position star and an overlooked Seahawks wideout with his TNF anytime touchdown scorer predictions.
😤 Best first touchdown scorer prediction: Trey McBride to score first TD ⭐⭐⭐
Here's why our NFL expert Sean Tomlinson is betting on Trey McBride to score the first touchdown on Thursday Night Football tonight:
"McBride leads the Cardinals in targets through three games, and it's not especially close. He sits at 24 with Marvin Harrison Jr. a fair distance back at 17. More importantly for our purposes, he's matched Harrison in red-zone looks with both pass-catchers getting three so far - and McBride turning one into his first touchdown of the season.
That came after he finished seventh among all pass-catchers last season with 20 red-zone targets, which improves to third when we focus on tight ends. Even better, he tied for the position lead in targets inside the 10-yard line during the last campaign."
Tomlinson is aso backing the Seahawks' best receiver at +950 odds while taking a shot on another tight end at +2800 with his TNF first touchdown scorer predictions.
