Super Bowl 2026 is right around the corner, and the Los Angeles Rams are the front-runners in my Super Bowl predictions heading into the NFC Championship.
The Rams are one of the most dangerous teams remaining in the 2026 NFL playoffs, and below I break down how the Rams will win the Super Bowl as part of our Conference Championship predictions.
🏆 How the Rams win Super Bowl 2026
Follow all of our NFL analysis and betting advice for the 2026 NFL playoffs.
Most versatile offense
The Rams’ offense can beat you in a variety of ways. Whether it’s future MVP Matthew Stafford spreading the ball to star receivers Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, or the dual-threat rushing attack of Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, this offense presents matchup problems across the board.
The Rams’ offense ranks first in the NFL in passing yards per game (268.1) and also finished seventh in rushing yards per game this season (126.6). Overall, the Rams ended the 2025 regular season first in the NFL in total yards per game (394.6).
Another reason the Rams are so dangerous is that they have players who have won the Big Game. Matthew Stafford and the Rams took home the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LVI. That kind of experience - having won it all before - gives this team a significant advantage.
Strong defense
People love to talk about how talented and explosive the Rams’ offense is, but this defensive unit is no slouch, either.
The Rams’ defense finished the 2025 regular season as the NFL's top-rated run defense, allowing just eight rushing touchdowns. They also ranked in the top 12 in the league in rushing yards allowed per game. Both are excellent metrics to look for in a potential Super Bowl-caliber team.
The Rams’ pass defense finished in the middle of the pack, but they will face a run-first offense in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday against the Seahawks. If the Rams are able to take care of business against them - which I suspect they will - they will face either the Bo Nix-less Broncos or the Patriots, both of whom rely heavily on their rushing attacks. Any matchup the Rams find themselves in favors them, and they should be able to hold strong on defense.
✖️ Rams X-factor: Matthew Stafford
The most important position a team can solidify is the quarterback position, and when you have the favorite to win the MVP award on your team - like the Rams do with Matthew Stafford - he can single-handedly take over and win games.
We have seen time and time again that when the Rams have needed a big play, Stafford can and will deliver. That is one of the best traits a quarterback can have, and with the current landscape of remaining teams in the playoffs, nobody does it better than Stafford. There isn’t a quarterback I trust more when the game is on the line, and that cannot be overstated in terms of how important it is.
If Stafford can play at the level we know he is capable of, I don’t see a single team remaining in the playoffs that can beat them.
