We're making our early 2025 Super Bowl predictions using the best NFL odds from our best Super Bowl betting sites, with a look at the best contenders and long shots to target ahead of the 2024 NFL season.

The champagne has barely dried after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in the the 2024 Super Bowl, and our best sports betting sites have already released Super Bowl odds for next year's NFL championship game. And there are some compelling values on the board.

We previously broke down the Super Bowl 2025 opening odds, with the 49ers (+575) and Chiefs (+800) as the early betting favorites. Kansas City QB Patrick Mahomes is also, unsurprisingly, the early favorite by the 2024-25 NFL MVP odds.

There's no rule against firing off some early wagers on next year's Big Game, and we've also made our prediction for the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show odds. Howeer, a word of caution: these odds could change dramatically over the next few months with NFL free agency and the NFL draft still ahead. Leaning into uncertainty can be one of the best ways to generate surplus value as a futures bettor, but there are risks in the unknown.

Here's a look at the opening title odds for next season and our early 2025 Super Bowl predictions, with NFL picks from our best NFL betting sites.

2025 Super Bowl predictions

Chiefs

Best odds: +750 via FanDuel, BetMGM

There are still seven months before the start of the next NFL season, but I'll go out on a limb and predict that I'll be writing a lot next season about the Chiefs, who are my early pick to win Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.

How could you not like Kansas City's chances to sustain its dynastic run after what we saw this past season? This team looked absolutely lifeless at times during the regular season, but the inevitability of Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes has proven itself time and time again - even when the supporting cast looks as dismal as ever.

Those two will be back next season, as will defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, who is making his case as the best defensive coach of all time. His unit should be title-worthy next season regardless of how free agency shakes out; now imagine how this offense might look if it invests in better pass-catchers.

Even as they faltered during the 2023 NFL season, the Chiefs' championship odds barely moved across our best sports betting apps, which ended up being a prudent move by oddsmakers. That's why I don't mind laying the short price now on a number that may be the best we get all season.

Bengals

Best odds: +1500 via FanDuel

The Bengals reached the AFC Championship in two of the last three seasons, and they nearly won the Super Bowl in 2021-22 with one of the worst offensive lines for any title contender in recent memory. That's a testament to the brilliance of Joe Burrow, who has elevated his supporting cast for years.

Those protection issues finally caught up to Burrow this season, and his injury was arguably the only reason the Bengals didn't threaten a run to the 2024 Super Bowl. Now the team has nearly $70 million to rebuild that leaky O-line and invest in a defense still led by elite coordinator Lou Anarumo.

Cincinnati has a decision to make on receiver Tee Higgins, but the team still has superstar wideout Ja'Marr Chase, who has terrorized the Chiefs' secondary over the years. It could also draft a receiver in a loaded 2024 draft - if that pick isn't used on one of the elite offensive tackles in this year's class.

Let's not forget that Burrow is the only quarterback other than Tom Brady to have beaten Mahomes in the postseason. My bet is on Mahomes surviving another gauntlet in 2024-25, but at these odds, I expect to be invested in the Bengals, too.

Cowboys

Best odds: +2000 via DraftKings

As fun as it might be to fire off jokes at the Cowboys' expense, this was one of the best teams in the NFL in 2023. And I fully expect that to be the case in 2024, too.

Dallas ranked third in net EPA/play and fourth in DVOA in the regular season, bolstered by an MVP-level season from Dak Prescott and a stellar showing from its star-studded defense. Defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is off to division rival Washington, but I don't expect much of a drop-off under Mike Zimmer, who spent years building a borderline elite unit in Dallas in the early 2000s.

This team could also improve along the margins with Prescott due for an extension, which could see him convert much of his 2024 base salary into a signing bonus to help the Cowboys manufacture cap space ahead of the offseason. It's not like this team had many holes in 2023, and I'd expect an added edge to this group after how last season ended.

Yes, you still have to sweat Mike McCarthy's coaching in the playoffs. Kyle Shanahan isn't exactly known for his shrewd in-game management, though, and his team is on the cusp of winning the 2024 Super Bowl. This 20/1 price is too good to ignore for one of the most talented teams in the league.

Best 2025 Super Bowl long shots

Chargers

Best odds: +3300 via BetRivers

I highlighted the Chargers in my first look at the 2025 Super Bowl opening odds, and they're still dealing as high as 33/1, which feels like an oversight for a team with an elite quarterback and one of the winningest coaches in NFL history.

There's still some work for head coach Jim Harbaugh and new regime tasked with improving this roster while shedding nearly $40 million in payroll entering this summer. That said, QB Justin Herbert is dealing at +1200 in the latest NFL MVP odds while his team is a long shot to win the Super Bowl.

That doesn't make much sense to me, and I won't be surprised if this price is a distant memory by kickoff of the 2024 season.

Rams

Best odds: +3500 via DraftKings

It feels like the entire league was sleeping on the Rams during the 2023 NFL season, and that remains the case ahead of next season. Matthew Stafford looked as sharp as ever to close the year and could be entering his final season, which has me salivating at a "one last ride" narrative for this group in 2024.

Los Angeles' offense looked every bit like a Sean McVay unit last year - especially with the emergence of wide receiver Puka Nacua and running back Kyren Williams, who could be even better next season. The Rams also have nearly $50 million in cap space and a first-round pick for the first time since 2016, which could help improve a defense that was light on talent a season ago.

Falcons

Best odds: +5000 via FanDuel

This is easily my favorite long-shot bet heading into the 2024 NFL season, and it might be my favorite bet across the board for a team built to win right now.

The biggest issue, of course, is at quarterback. This team doesn't pick high enough to draft an elite blue-chip prospect at No. 8, so I fully expect the Falcons to be in the market for a free-agent passer - with all signs pointing to Kirk Cousins as a potential solution after his MVP-caliber half-season in 2023.

While those rumors quieted after the team hired Raheem Morris as its head coach, Cousins has a pre-existing relationship with Morris after they spent three years together in Washington. New offensive coordinator Zac Robinson is also expected to run a similar offense to the one Cousins enjoyed under Minnesota Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell - another Sean McVay disciple - over the past two seasons.

Cousins has ties to the area, as his wife was born in Atlanta and the two were married there in 2014. If Cousins does ultimately sign with the Falcons, these odds will be gone immediately, so I wouldn't recommend waiting on this one.
