⬆️ Josh Allen anytime touchdown (-150) ⭐⭐⭐

This is easily one of my favorite volume-based Josh Allen props for Thursday Night Football.

The Bills should have no trouble putting points on the board, especially against a Dolphins defense that opened the year by giving up seven straight scoring drives and continues to let quarterbacks find the end zone on the ground.

Daniel Jones ran in two touchdowns against Miami in Week 1, and Drake Maye added another in Week 2. With that trend, it’s hard not to back Allen to notch his third rushing score of the season. Don't overthink Allen tonight.

While a $10 bet will net just $6.67 in profit, kick the week off with a win - we've got 60% implied probability that this play cashes.

⬆️  James Cook Over 66.5 rushing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Miami Dolphins can't stop a baby right now, giving up 139 yards per game on the ground to Jonathan Taylor, DJ Giddens, Rhamondre Stevenson, and Drake Maye. Running backs have continuously got to the second level against this team, where they are absolutely riddled with injuries for tonight.

Buffalo's offensive line comes in healthy, and Cook is coming off a 132-yard, two-touchdown performance against the Jets. The game script is in our favor here, too, with the Bills likely looking to kill the clock in the fourth quarter via the run. Expect another 20-plus carries for Cook tonight.

The -115 juice (which carries a 53.50% implied probability) is worth paying up for at bet365, as the O/U there is lower than the total of 70.5 at our other best sports betting sites. A $10 winning wager will net you $8.70 in profit.

⬇️ A.J. Brown Under 61.5 receiving yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Is A.J. Brown ... OK?

Brown has a total of 35 yards on six catches through two games this year, and is now going up against a Los Angeles Rams defense that is the fourth-best unit against the pass early in the season. Brown's combined 35 yards in two games is the lowest regular-season two-game total of his career since Week 2 and 3 of his rookie season in 2019 - when he totaled 29 yards.

Granted, Los Angeles shut down the Tennessee Titans a week ago, but in Week 1, they locked Nico Collins down to three catches for 25 yards. This will be the first real test, but so far, if any team has had any success against the Rams, it's been on the ground, which means a steady dose of Saquon Barkley is likely on the way.

We might be seeing some Brown tantrums on the sideline come Week 3.

Stick to BetMGM for this wager, as other sportsbooks have his total at or near the 59.5 area. The -115 odds will pay you $8.70 on a $10 winning wager.

💰 Best NFL Week 3 player prop bets: My leans

🔥 Amon-Ra St. Brown anytime touchdown scorer (+130) ⭐⭐⭐

This is another pure volume play, as we'll likely see a shootout between the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. The sportsbooks see it that way, too, as the total for this game is set at 53.5.

St. Brown currently leads all receivers with six targets in the red zone, and should see plenty of action coming his way after his 11-target, nine-catch, three-touchdown performance in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears.

At +130 betting odds, a $10 profit would net you $13, with an implied probability of 43.5% that this bet cashes. I'd play this now before the line moves closer to +120 come Monday night.

💰 Best NFL Week 3 player prop bets: More picks

🔥 Ashton Jeanty Under 71.5 rushing and receiving yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Another week, another Ashton Jeanty Under. We’ll be fading the Jeanty train until the wheels fall off as part of our rookie player prop bets for Week 3 – or until the rookie catches up to the speed of NFL action. While Jeanty has plenty of talent, the Raiders’ offensive line doesn’t. The unit ranks 32nd in run-block win rate (62%) and now must deal with the Commanders’ second-ranked unit in run-stop win rate (37%).

The books were content to leave Jeanty’s rushing yardage prop in the high-60s-to-low-70s over the first two weeks, but it looks like his Week 3 line is opening in the 50s. That’s OK. We can simply play him for Under 71.5 rushing and receiving yards. Jeanty’s awful pass blocking makes him a liability on passing downs, so he likely won’t get many chances as a dump-off receiver.

Lock this wager in for the cheap price of -115 (53.5%) at BetMGM to score an $8.70 profit on a $10 bet.

❓ NFL betting FAQs

What are the best NFL player props for Week 3?

My best NFL player props for Week 3 back Josh Allen to score a touchdown, and James Cook to rush Over 66.5 yards.

How do NFL player props work?

Player props are wagers on individual performances rather than the outcome of the game. Common props include passing yards, rushing yards, receiving yards, and touchdown scorers. For example, if a QB’s passing yards line is set at 250.5, you can bet the Over (251-plus yards) or Under (250 or fewer yards). You can also bet on if a specific player will score a touchdown in the entire game, the first or last touchdown, and more NFL odds.
