Panthers vs. Jets Player Prop Picks: Best Prop Bets & TD Picks for Week 7

My best Panthers vs. Jets player props focus on Rico Dowdle, Mason Taylor, and Tommy Tremble for Sunday's game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The Panthers are the 1-point road betting favorite ahead of kickoff at 1 p.m. ET (FOX).

It may not be National Tight End Day yet, but two of my best NFL picks anticipate Taylor and Tremble having huge games in great matchups. And even though Chuba Hubbard is back, there’s one prop I love for Dowdle that I'll use to round out my NFL predictions for Week 7.

⬆️  Rico Dowdle Over 14.5 rushing attempts (-105) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Dowdle has rushed 53 times for 389 yards in the last two weeks, but he should see a reduction in carries with Chuba Hubbard expected back this week. However, with Hubbard averaging just 4.1 yards per carry compared to 5.8 for Dowdle, it’s clear who the more effective back is. Dowdle was outcarried by Hubbard in every game that Hubbard played; Dowdle still had at least nine carries in the last two games Hubbard appeared in.

The Jets are allowing 130.0 rushing yards per game, but only 4.3 yards per carry. The Panthers rank fifth in the league with 172 rushes, and in a game where big chunk plays may be hard to come by, the effective Dowdle will outcarry Hubbard for the first time this year.

DraftKings’ price of -105 implies a 51.22% chance that Hubbard hits this Over. A $10 bet would profit $9.52.

⬆️  Mason Taylor Over 40.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Taylor had just one catch for two yards last week, but it’s hard to put much stock in that performance since the Jets had -10 passing yards in the game. In Week 5, Taylor had nine catches for 67 yards, and he has caught at least four passes in three of his last four games. In two of those contests, he managed at least 65 yards.

The Panthers have allowed 444 yards to tight ends, the second-most in the league, behind only the Bengals, who have played one more game than them. With Garrett Wilson unlikely to play, Taylor enters this great matchup with the most catches and receiving yards of any active Jet, making this one of the best Panthers vs. Jets player props.

The price of -114 at FanDuel implies a 53.27% chance that this Over hits. A $10 bet would pay $8.77.

🔥 Tommy Tremble to score a touchdown (+650) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Jets have already allowed six touchdowns to tight ends this season, the second-most in the NFL. Bryce Young has done a good job of involving his tight ends, as three of his 10 passing touchdowns have been to them.

While Tremble only has one touchdown, he’s second on the team in receptions and receiving yards. He’s been targeted at least four times in two of his last three games, catching at least four passes in each of those contests.

While teammate Mitchell Evans has scored twice this year, he’s only caught seven passes, making Tremble the clear number-one tight end target for the Panthers. Still, Evans is also worth a play at +2200 in this excellent matchup.

For Tremble, the price of +650 at DraftKings implies he has a 13.33% chance of scoring. A $10 bet would profit $65.
