With a two-game NFL slate on tap for Saturday, let’s dive into our Packers vs. Bears predictions from a freezing cold Soldier Field as our NFL Week 16 predictions continue. The Bears are a slim 1.5-point betting favorite for this one, which is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 20 at 8:20 p.m. ET (FOX).

🏈 Packers vs. Bears prediction

Don't miss the rest of our NFL picks for every game this season.

Packers ML (+110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

In a battle of two injury-riddled teams, who comes out ahead? The Packers won’t have their best pass rusher and may be down a few skill-position players. The Bears won’t have two of their three best wide receivers. Both sides are desperate to assert themselves atop the NFC North.

I favor the Packers despite the road trip here. Green Bay’s offense leads the NFL in EPA per dropback. Chicago’s defense ranks 12th in EPA per dropback, but when we filter out plays with turnovers, the Bears plummet to 28th.

Score prediction: Packers 31, Bears 24

Jayden Reed, WR, GB: anytime TD scorer (+225) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

With Green Bay’s offense leading the league by EPA per dropback – and Chicago’s defense ranked 28th in the metric – I trust Jayden Reed to find paydirt. Reed racked up six targets (one red-zone) on a season-high 72.1% route participation rate a week ago. The volume and matchup both stand out.

The Packers have a number of injured skill-position players. Watson is questionable but should play.
