6️⃣ Best touchdown picks for tight ends

Mason Taylor to score a touchdown (Jets at Bengals): +260 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Justin Fields is listed as the starting QB for the Jets, and while Taylor hasn’t scored yet this season, he has at least three catches in four of his last five games, and should be targeted plenty in this matchup. bet365’s price of +260 implies a 27.78% chance that Taylor scores. The Bengals can’t cover tight ends, allowing a league-high 536 yards and nine touchdowns to the position.

Darnell Washington anytime touchdown scorer (Packers vs. Steelers): +350 ⭐⭐

Few teams are likely as happy to celebrate National Tight Ends Day than the Steelers, after Jonnu Smith, Pat Freiermuth, and Darnell Washington combined for all of the team’s four touchdowns in last week’s loss to Cincinnati.

Pittsburgh is targeting its tight ends at a league-high 36% rate. And opposing offenses are targeting tight ends at a high rate against Green Bay, as the Packers have allowed the fourth-highest percentage of targets to the position (24%).

Most bet anytime touchdown scorer (tickets) from BetMGM:

  1. George Kittle +180
  2. Dallas Goedert +185
  3. Saquon Barkley -145
  4. Cam Skattebo -105
  5. Jake Ferguson +175

Harold Fannin Jr. to score a touchdown (+320) ⭐⭐⭐

Like the Browns, the Patriots have allowed just three rushing touchdowns this season. So, while Dillon Gabriel hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass in either of his last two games, if the Browns are going to find the end zone, they’re more likely to do it through the air than on the ground.

Gabriel has yet to throw a touchdown to a wide receiver, with two of his passes going to tight ends, and the other going to Dylan Sampson. With David Njoku still limited, Fannin, who has caught 15 of his 19 targets over the last three weeks, should continue to be Gabriel’s favorite target.

And while the Patriots have only given up two touchdowns to tight ends, they’ve allowed the eighth-most yards to the position this season.

Dallas Goedert to score the first touchdown (Giants vs. Eagles): +950 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The connection between Dallas Goedert and Jalen Hurts has been consistent even amid the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive struggles elsewhere.

The tight end has reeled in five touchdown receptions (tied for fifth leaguewide) despite getting minimal usage at times. But he's been making the most of whatever is thrown his way, turning two targets in Week 3 into 33 yards and a touchdown, for example. And his workload has been swinging the other way recently, peaking at 110 yards and another score on 11 targets in Week 6.

Now that usage could get even higher with Eagles receiver A.J. Brown out. Combine that with Goedert facing a New York Giants defense that's given up the ninth-most receptions to tight ends (41), and there's a whole lot to like here, especially after he tore apart the same unit two weeks ago.
