My first touchdown scorer predictions for Jets vs. Patriots on Thursday Night Football assess who could cross the goal line first during a possible blowout, leading to appealing prices for New York's skill-position players given the team's heavy underdog status.

We're looking for Hunter Henry to exploit one of the Jets' many defensive weaknesses. A deep long shot Jets wide receiver is set up to potentially do the same to New England, too. It's all part of my NFL predictions for Week 11.

The AFC East clash gets underway tonight at 8:15 p.m. ET (Prime Video) from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., with the Patriots listed as a massive 13.5-point favorite.

💰 Best Thursday Night Football first touchdown scorer bets

🔥 Hunter Henry TD pick: To score first TD (+750) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The offerings from the best sports betting apps reflect the likely laugher tonight, as the Jets player getting the shortest odds is listed fifth on the board at +1000 (still worth a dart throw!).

In our mission to find the New England player who will open the scoring with the Over in play, as noted in our Jets vs. Patriots prediction, let's seek some value a little beyond the top tier and roll with Hunter Henry.

His workload has been sporadic this season, but with especially high peaks amid the valleys. He's comfortably second on the team in targets at 47 (well ahead of Mack Hollins at 33), and that includes an 11-target game for 90 yards and two of his four total touchdowns earlier this campaign.

Henry is also only one week removed from a productive 51 yards on six targets, and he faces a Jets defense that's tied for the second-most scores allowed to tight ends (seven). He's received six targets inside the 10-yard line as well, putting him among the league leaders.

A $10 wager on him to score the first touchdown tonight could lead to a $75 profit through these +750 betting odds from DraftKings, with an implied probability of 11.76%.

🔥 Breece Hall TD pick: To score first TD (+1000) ⭐⭐⭐

As always, weirdness can play a role in this market, and an otherwise overmatched team set to get demolished can stumble its way into scoring first. And with that in mind, keep a straight face when looking at the Jets' skill-position players, and especially their top running back, Breece Hall.

Most starting running backs listed at +1000 or above are worth at least a sprinkle. For perspective, the best sports betting sites are giving Patriots lead back TreVeyon Henderson a price of +360.

Meanwhile, for all their general blundering despite winning two straight, Hall remains a bright spot for the Jets. He's the almost sole driver of whatever offense they create, especially with Garrett Wilson out. Hall has scored three touchdowns over New York's last two games, a stretch in which he's recorded 216 yards from scrimmage.

The Patriots boast an intimidating top-ranked run defense. But Hall will surely be targeted as a pass-catcher often with Justin Fields likely to be under duress, and he scored on a 42-yard screen last week.

A $10 wager using these +1000 betting odds from FanDuel could lead to a $100 profit, and it's getting a 9.09% implied probability.

🔥 Tyler Johnson TD pick: To score first TD (+4000) ⭐⭐

Elsewhere in dice rolls that are difficult to resist: How about one of a team's top receivers (by default, but nonetheless!) getting these sky-high odds?

Yes, the Jets' offense has been a bumbling mess for much of the season, which somehow includes Justin Fields throwing for 54 yards last week during a win. But that came a week after a much more respectable 244 yards, with Tyler Johnson on the other end for 64 yards and a touchdown on five targets and three catches. It was his second consecutive 60-plus-yard outing.

Our Jets vs. Patriots player props believe Fields will achieve some success as a passer tonight, and defending the pass is New England's primary weakness while ranking 21st (227 yards per game). Combine that with the Jets surely knowing they need to start fast as a significant road underdog and have a pass-first mentality, and Johnson becomes intriguing as our long-shot play with Wilson out.

These mammoth +4000 betting odds from bet365 could lead to a $400 profit on a $10 bet, with an implied probability of 2.44%.
