After needing overtime to beat rookie quarterback Bailey Zappe and the Patriots in Week 4 at Lambeau Field, Green Bay let a 20-10 halftime lead slip away during a 27-22 defeat to the Giants.
LaFleur also pointed the finger at himself, saying the coaching staff needs to stay more committed to the running game after the offense passed on 39 of its 59 plays in Week 5.
Meanwhile, the Jets could experience some trouble matching Green Bay’s intensity and desperation level, despite New York's back-to-back victories. The club is above .500 for the first time in more than four years. However, the Jets have covered in just two of their last eight games following a straight-up win, and New York hasn’t won three straight since 2019.
