NFL MVP Odds & Favorites 2025-26: Allen's Odds Lengthen for 1st Time in 2025

Josh Allen's NFL MVP odds (+150) lengthened for the first time this season as he and the Bills suffered their first loss through five weeks.

Josh Allen was made to look human for the first time this season by the New England Patriots, and the 23-20 loss on Sunday Night Football lengthen his NFL MVP odds. Allen, the reigning NFL MVP, is now +150 to win the award against this year after passing for 253 yards and two touchdowns, and rushing for another 53 yards.

Patrick Mahomes (+600) is now second on the oddsboard after a week in the NFL that saw Matthew Stafford (+1400), Justin Herbert (+1600), and Jalen Hurts (+2000) all lose. Jordan Love (+1300), Baker Mayfield (+1400), and Jared Goff (+1800) all had their NFL MVP odds improve.

📈 NFL MVP odds movement

Stay tuned to see how our NFL predictions for Week 5 may impact the NFL MVP odds this week.

  • Josh Allen (+150) suffered his first loss of the season but he remains the heavy NFL MVP betting favorite, and he'll again appear on prime time in Week 6
  • Ahead of his Week 5 Monday Night Football against the Jaguars, Patrick Mahomes' NFL MVP odds (+600) shortened again, after the Chiefs erased a 0-2 start to the season and have wide receiver Xavier Worthy back helping a once-struggling passing game
  • Jordan Love (+1300) and the Packers will play the Bengals, Cardinals, Steelers, Panthers, and Giants in six weeks coming out of their bye, and he'll have the chance to pile up stats as the team stacks wins
  • Baker Mayfield (+1400) continues to win, and he enjoyed his best statistical day of the season with 379 passing yards and two touchdowns against the Seahawks, as the Bucs strengthened their position atop the NFC South
  • Matthew Stafford (+1400) threw for 389 yards and three touchdowns against a tough defense, but his Rams were shockingly upset by the 49ers on Thursday Night Football
  • Justin Herbert (+1600) failed to top 200 passing yards, and he threw his fourth interception in four weeks as the Chargers were upset 27-10 at home by the Commanders for their second straight (unexpected) loss
  • Jared Goff (+1800) should be back in the NFL MVP conversation as the Lions are rolling and rising in the Super Bowl odds nearly every week; he has a big prove-it game on the road against the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football this week
  • Jalen Hurts (+2000) and the Eagles suffered their first loss of the season as he was held to three rushing yards and kept out of the end zone for the second straight game
  • Lamar Jackson (+2700) missed his first game of the season and the Ravens lost yet again; the two-time MVP is no longer a contender for this year's award

🏆 NFL MVP betting favorite

Josh Allen (+150)

Despite throwing two touchdowns and contributing more than 300 yards between the passing and ground attacks, the Bills lost for the first time this season and Allen's NFL MVP odds lengthened accordingly.

Buffalo maintains a very favorable schedule through the rest of the season, and the Bills are a 4.5-point betting favorite on the road against a rested Falcons team on Monday Night Football this week.

🎯 My NFL MVP prediction

Jordan Love (+1300)

Love didn't need to throw a pass this week for his NFL MVP odds to shorten slightly from +1500 to +1300 while the Packers were on a bye.

The third-year starter passed for three touchdowns and 337 yards in a 40-40 tie against the Cowboys his last time out. He can have similar statistical performance with the Packers facing the Cincinnati Bengals at home this week.
