💰 Best Eagles vs. Giants first touchdown scorer bets: Thursday Night Football

Our NFL player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.

🦅 Eagles first touchdown scorer prediction: Dallas Goedert, TE (+1100) ⭐⭐⭐

Goedert is putting together a weird season, much like many of the pass-catchers in an Eagles passing offense ranked second-last that is producing sporadically at best.

He's averaging just 8.9 yards per reception, down from 11.8 last year. Goedert also eclipsed the 40-year receiving mark in a game just once, bottoming out at 19 yards during a loss last week to the Denver Broncos, though that came on a season-high nine targets.

And yet he's scored four times, including twice two weeks ago. We don't need him to bust free for a long saunter into the end zone to cash this bet. Goedert just needs to get there through any means, and he's been doing that consistently while being on the other end for all but three of the touchdown throws Jalen Hurts has tallied thus far.

Goedert has converted all three of his red-zone targets into touchdowns, and he leads the team in targets inside the 10-yard line. A $10 wager through bet365 would lead to a $110 profit if he comes through again and scores first, with an implied probability of 8.33%.

🗽 Giants first touchdown scorer prediction: Jaxson Dart, QB (+1900) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

As we outlined in our Eagles vs. Giants prediction, New York is a sizable 7-point underdog, which is also pumping up the odds to score first for any of the team's top skill-position players. Or at least the ones who are remotely healthy.

Jaxson Dart was dealing with a hamstring injury earlier in the week, but that doesn't seem set to hamper him. What will limit his effectiveness and keep the rookie on the run is a weak offensive line, which led to five sacks during his NFL regular-season starting debut, as also noted in our Jaxson Dart player props. That will force Dart to get creative around the goal line, and we've seen his mobility result in 109 rushing yards with a touchdown so far across just two starts.

There's also a need for Dart to run due to the rampant injuries to his wide receivers. The offense simply lacks other options, and Dart's usage as a runner so far is reflecting that reality after he accumulated 495 rushing yards during his final collegiate season.

If the versatile Dart crosses the goal line first, a $10 bet using these +1900 betting odds from DraftKings would translate to a $190 profit, with an implied probability of 5%.

🎯 Best long shot to score first touchdown: Jalin Hyatt, WR, Giants (+3300) ⭐⭐

The Giants' wide receiver depth chart is suddenly decimated. The most crushing blow was losing the speedy and incredibly athletic Malik Nabers for the season, but another gut punch came last week when Darius Slayton went down.

Enter Jalin Hyatt, the third-year wideout who will likely get some opportunities after Slayton had been given 14 targets across the team's previous three games.

Hyatt has been used sparingly while struggling to establish himself after being a third-round pick in 2023. He did showcase his speed while averaging 16.3 yards per reception as a rookie on 23 grabs, and that presence alone will be key to replacing Slayton, who is the team's main downfield threat without Nabers.

If Hyatt capitalizes on his increased opportunities and scores first, a $10 bet at these +3300 odds from BetMGM would lead to a whopping $330 payout at an implied probability of 2.94%.

Elsewhere in long shots, our Esten McLaren is tabbing AJ Dillon to score in his anytime touchdown scorer predictions for Thursday Night Football.
