Week 1 rolls along with the second-ever game in Brazil, and we're eyeing a handful of possibilities at +1200 odds or longer in our first touchdown scorer predictions for Chiefs vs. Chargers.

We could quickly see Pacheco revert to his pre-injury angry lizard running form after an offseason of recovery. But even if that happens, Hunt seems to hold a firm place in the red-zone heart of Andy Reid.

He scored seven touchdowns last year inside the 20, putting him ahead of Saquon Barkley and tied with Jonathan Taylor. Hunt was especially effective around the goal line, with five of his scores coming inside the 5-yard line. He received 56% of the team's carries in that area, which is significant considering Hunt played only 13 games with eight starts, and was given a modest 200 carries overall after being signed midway through September.

Ladd McConkey is coming off an impressive rookie season in which he finished among the top 10 in receiving yards. He also tallied seven touchdowns, and the shifty speed threat quickly established himself as a frequently used red-zone option.

McConkey, who could easily factor into the Chargers covering as Mike Spector forecasts in his Chiefs vs. Chargers prediction, was given 36.4% of Los Angeles' targets inside the 10-yard line last year. That put him eighth overall during his rookie season, and only a few ticks behind Detroit Lions menace Amon-Ra St. Brown.

The wideout also gets to face a secondary that was generous around the end zone to wide receivers last year, with the Chiefs giving up 19 touchdowns to the position, tied for the fourth-worst mark.

He's clearly due for a step back given that nearly flawless run around pay dirt. However, Gray scored more times than Kelce, despite the latter registering 25 red-zone targets.

The two will surely regress both positively and negatively. But that makes this a bet on their respective regression journeys not taking place immediately. The towering and sure-handed Gray can continue to find his place amid an offense that will produce plenty of red-zone chances, all as the aging Kelce keeps declining.
