Indianapolis was expected to exploit plenty of mismatches against Pittsburgh in Week 9. The Colts entered ranked first in points per game, points per drive, yards per play, and yards per game. Meanwhile, the Steelers' defense was 22nd in points per game and points per drive, 24th in yards per play, and 30th in yards per game.

However, the Colts had their four-game winning streak snapped in a 27-20 loss after uncharacteristically committing six turnovers, when they had just four turnovers through their first eight games.

Atlanta is not looking for moral victories amid a three-game losing streak. But it can take solace in the fact that Drake London became the first Falcon with 100-plus receiving yards and at least three touchdown receptions in a game since Calvin Ridley in 2018.

The Falcons valiantly fought a New England team on a six-game winning streak to the end. They only lost by one despite Patriots quarterback Drake Maye becoming the fourth quarterback ever with 200-plus passing yards and a passer rating of 100 or better in eight straight games. 

Line shopping at the moment will not do bettors any good since Atlanta is at +6.5 at -110 odds (carrying a 52.38% implied probability) across the best sports betting sites. It is worth it for Falcons backers to hold off a while to see if the line gets back to the key number of +7. But I would still make this play even at +6.

The Colts attracted the second-highest amount of money in total wagers of any NFL team at BetMGM in Week 9. And with the early wagers split 70/30 in favor of Indianapolis, there is a great chance we see that key movement back to a touchdown spread before kickoff.

The total is also a sharp line thus far, not budging off the opening number of 48.5. But several best sports betting apps are juiced to -112 or -115 to the Under, which suggests the O/U is more likely to tick down to 48 upon first movement than it is to increase to 49 or higher.
