Russell Wilson put up 450 passing yards in Week 2, but the Giants’ defense gave up 478 total yards and 32 first downs. Considering the Giants scored just six points in Week 1, while allowing 432 yards to the Washington Commanders, I’m betting the Giants’ offensive performance was a fluke, but that the defense will be awful all season.
The Chiefs held the Eagles to just 216 yards, yet they still lost the game. The Chiefs' defense should have no trouble keeping the Giants’ one-dimensional offense in check, while Mahomes dissects a defense that hasn’t been able to stop Jayden Daniels or Dak Prescott.
A majority (66%) of bettors are backing the Chiefs to cover, which has already shifted the spread a half-point at multiple sportsbooks. The price of -110 for -5.5 at Caesars implies a 52.38% chance the Chiefs cover. A $10 bet would pay $9.09

Despite starting 0-2, nearly two-thirds of the public is backing them to cover in early betting, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this number gets to 7.5 before the middle of the week. I’d take the Chiefs to cover up to 10, so even if you don’t get in right away, the Chiefs will be the right play all week.
As for the total, I expect the number to increase because of the 40-37 loss the Giants suffered in Week 2. However, the Chiefs' defense looked great against the Eagles, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they hold the Giants to 14 or fewer points. Therefore, I recommend playing the Under. You can probably wait a bit to get in at a higher number than the 42.5 currently available.
