As part of my NFL picks and predictions for Week 2, I have the Eagles going into Arrowhead Stadium and handling Kansas City. For our SGP, we’re highlighting skepticism over Isiah Pacheco’s workload and leaning into DeVonta Smith’s ability to break this game in Philly's favor.

🚀 Eagles ML (-122) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Chiefs are in trouble. With wide receiver Xavier Worthy knocked out of their Week 1 game early, Kansas City resorted back to being a dink-and-dunk offense. Worthy will remain out today.
Although the Eagles didn’t look great in an opening win over the Dallas Cowboys, I don’t know whether the Chiefs have the horses on the outside to take advantage of Philly’s potential weakness in the secondary. Though tight end Dallas Goedert’s absence could loom large, the Eagles still have ample weaponry on offense.
To avoid heartbreak with a -1.5 spread, we’ll settle for the moneyline with reasonable odds between -116 and -122 across various sportsbooks.
🚀 Isiah Pacheco Under 36.5 rushing yards (-113) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was surprised during the offseason when the Chiefs didn’t meaningfully upgrade their running back room, and I assumed it meant that Kansas City was ready to unleash Isiah Pacheco in 2025.
Well, he garnered just five carries for 25 yards in the opening loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Though I expect the workload to tick up in this game, this still looks like a committee with Kareem Hunt, who drew equal carries to Pacheco in Week 1.
The Eagles held Javonte Williams to 3.6 yards per carry last week, and I don’t see Pacheco getting more than the 10 carries that it would take to clear his yardage prop at a similar YPC pace.
🚀 DeVonta Smith 70+ receiving yards (+105) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Chiefs have largely bottled up leading Eagles receiver A.J. Brown, giving up just 43 yards in the Super Bowl and allowing him to compile just 8 receiving yards in a 2023 regular-season matchup. Smith got free a few times in the Super Bowl, racking up 69 yards and a touchdown.
I see Smith as a beneficiary of Goedert’s absence in this game. QB Jalen Hurts should find him frequently to counter Kansas City’s anticipated heavy attention toward Brown on the other side.
Since a similar parlay at FanDuel had a less favorable line on Pacheco’s rushing while only offering +461 odds, we’re playing our SGP at DraftKings.
