I'm breaking down the latest Eagles vs. Bills weather report ahead of today's showdown between Super Bowl contenders. Kickoff is at 4:25 p.m. ET from Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y. (FOX), with the Bills a 3-point home betting favorite.

This matchup could have massive ramifications for both the NFC and AFC playoff pictures as we continue our NFL Week 17 predictions.

🌧️ Eagles vs. Bills weather forecast: NFL Week 17

Latest weather forecast via NFL Weather for Week 17.

Category Forecast
🌡️ Temp. 41 degrees at kickoff and hovering around there throughout
💨 Wind SE winds around 7 mph with gusts up to 17 mph
🌧️ Prec. Cloudy with a 59% chance of rain
☀️ Humidity 90% humidity at kickoff and going up to 95%

You would typically expect snow this time of year at Highmark Stadium. But we're actually anticipating rain in today's marquee tilt in Orchard Park, N.Y., with a 59% chance of precipitation throughout the contest.

Wind shouldn't play too much of a role, however, so gripping the ball will be the main concern from a weather perspective for Eagles vs. Bills.

💰 Eagles vs. Bills betting impact

Rain is sure to be a major storyline for this late-season interconference affair. The total has slid down to 44.5 points after opening at 46 at the best sports betting sites.

Given the wet conditions, our Mike Spector targets three rushing plays in his best Eagles vs. Bills player props. Here is how I expect rain to impact the matchup:

  • Give Saquon the rock. Saquon Barkley only has three 100-yard rushing games this season, but two have come in the last three games. Now he matches up with a Bills defense that ranks fourth-worst in rush defense and has been gashed by most running backs it's faced. Barkley's rushing yardage prop is set at 86.5 yards at the best sports betting apps.
  • Ball-security critical. Both teams rank in the bottom third of the league in fumbles lost, which includes a career-worst three for Bills running back James Cook this year. With two of the league's all-time rushing quarterbacks in this matchup, there will be plenty of rushing attempts from both squads, especially considering the rain. Who can hold onto the football on those carries will have a huge advantage.
  • Kicking could be an issue. Though it isn't expected to be overly windy, both teams have kicking concerns that could be exacerbated by the rain. Philadelphia's Jake Elliott has a 70.8% field-goal percentage, the worst among kickers with at least 20 attempts this season. Meanwhile, the Bills are on their third kicker of the season: Michael Badgley, who missed an extra point last week.
