Dolphins vs. Falcons Player Prop Bets: Best Week 8 Player Props & TD Predictions

We explain why the Dolphins’ poor run defense will pave the way for Bijan Robinson’s best game of the year

Atlanta is tied for the second-biggest favorite on the Sunday NFL slate at -7.5, and that factors into my Dolphins vs. Falcons player prop bets. Kickoff from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS).

I had to get involved with a Bijan Robinson prop as part of my NFL picks given the mismatch between the Falcons offense and Dolphins defense. I round out my NFL predictions for Week 8 with my favorite props for each of the game’s two starting quarterbacks.

💰 Best Dolphins vs. Falcons player props

⬇️ Kirk Cousins Under 30.5 passing attempts (-102) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. was pushing to play this week despite a knee injury and bone bruise in his foot. But it now looks like veteran Kirk Cousins will be under center for his first game action since mid-December of last year.

With Atlanta owning a huge advantage in the trenches against the Dolphins defense (more on that with our touchdown pick), I expect a conservative game plan from Atlanta.

When Cousins was the full-time starter last year, he attempted 30 or fewer passes in eight of 14 starts, including the only game the Falcons won by two possessions.

This number is as low as 29.5 at other top sports betting sites, so I am taking advantage of the best number and price at FanDuel. Through its -102 odds which carry a 50.50% implied probability, a $10 winning wager would net $9.80 in profits.

⬆️ Tua Tagovailoa Over 0.5 interceptions (-140) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was benched in the fourth quarter of last week’s blowout loss to the Browns after he turned in his third game with at least three turnovers this season.

Head coach Mike McDaniel declared that Tagovailoa is still the team’s starting quarterback. But his signal caller has thrown three interceptions in consecutive games, and has at least one interception in four of six this season. Tagovailoa’s 24.1 passer rating last week was the worst of his career. Things should be even more difficult when facing a Falcons defense that is one of 10 with six-plus interceptions, and that allows the fewest passing yards per game by a wide margin (26 yards).

There is a sizable difference between the -140 odds at DraftKings and the -178 odds for this Over at the high end of the market, which suggest a 64.03% chance of Tagovailoa throwing at least one pick. Through the better -140 price, a $10 winning wager would return $7.14 in profits.

6️⃣ Best touchdown scorer prediction for Dolphins vs. Falcons

🔥 Bijan Robinson to score two or more touchdowns (+240) ⭐⭐⭐

On paper this is one of the biggest mismatches of the week, as Bijan Robinson leads the league averaging 152.3 scrimmage yards, and faces a Dolphins defense that has allowed a league-worst 159.3 rush yards per game.

Atlanta’s offensive ceiling is much higher playing at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. In home games, the Falcons average 26.0 points, 412 yards per game, and 6.1 yards per play. On the road, they average the second-fewest points per game in the league (10.7).

Though Robinson is coming off his first game this season without at least 110 scrimmage yards, he should be in for a performance much like he had in Weeks 2-6 when he averaged 5.2 yards per carry.

The Dolphins have given up a league-worst 229 rushing yards over expected and 128.3 rushing yards per game to running backs. So before this game gets out of hand, I expect Robinson to score at least twice for the first time this year, while entering on a three-game touchdown streak.

I am mitigating Robinson’s -250 anytime touchdown price at 71.43% implied odds by backing him to score twice at FanDuel. Through the +240 odds, a $10 wager would net $24 in profits if it cashes.
