Can the Raiders score enough against the hapless Cowboys’ defense to keep up with Dak Prescott and Co.

My best Cowboys vs. Raiders prediction based on the opening odds focuses on the Cowboys’ tendency to play in high-scoring games. While the Cowboys are 3-point road favorites, my early picks are more concerned with whether the Raiders can score against one of the worst defenses in football.

Our Week 11 NFL predictions will have you all set for all the action ahead of Monday's kickoff from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas at 8:15 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN).

🏈 Early Cowboys vs. Raiders prediction & betting preview

Stay ahead with the rest of our early NFL picks for Week 11.

⬆️  Over 50.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Raiders are averaging just 15.4 points per game, the second-fewest in the NFL. However, they scored 24 points against the Washington Commanders and Chicago Bears, two teams that rank in the bottom five in scoring defense. The Cowboys’ defense has been worse than both, allowing 30.8 points per game.

The Cowboys scored just 17 points in their last game, but they’re still averaging 29.2 points, fourth-most in the league. At least one team has scored 30 in all but two Cowboys’ games this season. One of these squads should hit 30 again on Monday, as the Raiders are allowing 24.4 points per game, and the Cowboys rank in the bottom five in both rush and pass defense.

All of the best sports betting sites, including BetMGM, have this Over set with a price of -110. This implies a 52.38% chance this Over hits. A $10 bet would profit $9.09.

Cowboys (-3.5) is one of Gary Pearson's best NFL picks against the spread this week, but Mike Spector cautions against backing the visitors with his NFL survivor pool picks.

🔢 Cowboys vs. Raiders opening odds

  • Moneyline: Cowboys -180 | Raiders +150
  • Spread: Cowboys -3 (-110) | Raiders +3 (-110)
  • Over/Under: Over 50 (-110) | Under 50 (-110)

↔️ Cowboys vs. Raiders line movement

The total has already increased from 50 to 50.5 at all of the best sports betting apps. And with six of the Cowboys’ nine games clearing this total, this number will likely increase to 51.5 before kickoff.

As for the spread, the Cowboys are favored by 3 at most sportsbooks, but have lost three of their last four games. The Raiders are just 2-7, but they very nearly knocked off the 8-2 Broncos last week in Denver. With reasons to like and dislike both teams, I expect this number to hover between 2.5 and 3.5 all week.
