Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels is reportedly out this week, as I make my best Commanders vs. Chiefs prediction based on opening odds for Monday Night Football.

Given that crucial injury update, this spread is bound to grow as I make my early NFL picks as part of our NFL predictions for Week 8, with Kansas City currently a 10-point betting favorite. Monday Night Football kicks off from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., at 8:15 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN).

Stay ahead with the rest of our early NFL predictions for Week 8.

๐Ÿ”ด  Chiefs -9.5 (-110) โญโญโญโญ

The Commanders were pulverized by the Cowboys, even with Daniels on the field, and theyโ€™ve now lost three of their last four.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs have won four of their last five, scoring at least 28 points in four consecutive games. The Commanders are allowing 24.3 points and 238.3 passing yards per game. The Chiefs have the seventh-ranked passing offense, and Patrick Mahomes has thrown for at least 250 yards in four straight games. All this has the Chiefs as one of the safest NFL survivor picks for Week 8.

Most of the best sports betting sites have already moved off the 9.5, but that number remains at FanDuel. The price of -110 implies a 52.38% chance the Chiefs cover. A $10 bet would profit $9.09.

It looks like sportsbooks aren't expecting Daniels to be out there, but 10 points would still be my limit if he doesn't go. Our Gary Pearson backs the Chiefs as one of his strongest NFL picks against the spread this week.
