The NFL Scouting Combine is underway at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, and Day 2 of the event features two of the deepest positions in the 2026 NFL Draft, defensive backs and tight ends.

Both position groups feature freaky athletes who top the NFL combine 40-yard dash odds, and I'm breaking down who to target to run the fastest 40s at each position on Friday, with my favorite prop picks. Don't miss my NFL combine betting guide for more on the available markets.

💨 Who is the fastest DB at the NFL combine?

Best bet: Brandon Cisse, South Carolina (+290)

Brandon "Glitch" Cisse is my best bet to blaze on the fast track in Indianapolis. In high school, Cisse clocked an 11.12-second 100-meter and a 22.09-second 200-meter. That was back in 2022.

Cisse, an NC State transfer, joined a South Carolina team this past season that included Nyck Harbor. Harbor, who runs track at South Carolina, has personal bests of 10.11 seconds in the 100 and 20.20 in the 200.

Gamecocks QB LaNorris Sellers said about Cisse, "he can run with Nyck Harbor." That explosiveness is why Cisse is the focus of my NFL combine prop bets for the vert.

Sleeper: Dillon Thieneman, Oregon (+3000)

With how many track running cornerbacks are going to be at the NFL combine, it might be a surprise to target Dillon Thieneman as a sleeper. However, the All-American safety is one of the best athletes in Indy and has hit 22.37 MPH on the GPS.

In high school, Thieneman was also laser-timed with a 4.36 40-yard dash, and he's confident he's going to be faster at the combine. During the media portion of the combine, the projected top 40 pick said he's aiming to run a 4.3.

Thieneman is also expected to be one of the best defensive backs in both the vertical and broad jumps.

Long shot: Keith Abney II, Arizona State (+15000)

It's crazy that Keith Abney II is tied for the longest odds among defensive backs to run the fastest 40-yard dash ... he's one of the most accomplished athletes in Indianapolis. Abney is a former competitive roller skater who set the 300-meter record for 13-year-olds.

Abney isn't just fast on roller skates either, he was a track athlete in high school and was clocked as fast as 11.1 in the 100 meter in Texas.

It's unlikely the 6-foot, 190-pound cornerback runs the fastest 40, but his odds are way longer than they should be given his proven athleticism.

⏱️ NFL combine 40-yard dash odds: Fastest tight end

NFL Scouting Combine odds for the 10 biggest favorites via our best NFL betting sites.

Player School Odds Implied probability
Jaren Kanak Oklahoma +100 50%
Kenyon Sadiq Oregon +320 23.81%
Eli Stowers Vanderbilt +420 19.23%
Oscar Delp Georgia +650 13.33%
Khalil Dinkins Penn State +750 11.76%
Eli Raridon Notre Dame +1100 8.33%
Dae'Quan Wright Ole Miss +1100 8.33%
RJ Maryland SMU +1400 6.67%
John Michael Gyllenborg Wyoming +1600 5.88%
Marlin Klein Michigan +2000 4.76%

💨 Who is the fastest TE at the NFL combine?

Best bet: Kenyon Sadiq, Oregon (+320)

This is a layup for tight ends. Few players at the NFL combine are as freaky as Kenyon Sadiq, but because Jaren Kanak ran a 10.37 100-meter in high school, we're getting amazing value on Sadiq, who has a 41.5-inch vertical and ran an 11.04 100-meter in high school.

Kanak and Sadiq will both approach running sub-4.5, but I'm betting on the 6-foot-3, 245-pound Oregon star winning the race.

He's transformed his body after leaving Idaho for Eugene and was No. 11 in Bruce Feldman's Freak List over the summer. Sadiq would be among the best bets to "win" the combine.

Sleeper: Marlin Klein, Michigan (+2000)

The five tight ends with shorter than +1000 odds are all likely to run sub-4.65, but one sleeper to compete for the best time is Marlin Klein. The German transplant is a monster at 6-foot-6, 250 pounds, but he's hit 21.75 MPH on the GPS.

That's not all, the two-time Freaks List member also has reportedly clocked a 6.89 3-cone and a 4.25 shuttle time. He's going to run faster than several tight ends with shorter odds than him.

Despite being a raw prospect who caught just 38 passes at Michigan, Klein is a projected mid-Day 3 pick because of his athletic upside.

Long shot: Bauer Sharp, LSU (+15000)

In a deep class, there are plenty of productive tight ends whose numbers jump out as potential big-play players who could run fast. And although Bauer Sharp's numbers don't stand out, the two-time transfer had one of the fastest GPS times (21.19) at the East-West Shrine Bowl.

That alone should put him in the conversation for running sub-4.65, but his odds remain tied for the longest to hit the fastest 40 time. That's likely because Sharp is a lesser-known prospect.

He was a high school QB who began his career at Southeastern Louisiana before catching 68 passes in the SEC the past two seasons at Oklahoma and LSU.
