Isiah Pacheco cleared a 48.5-yard rushing line just twice in 10 games in an injury-riddled 2024 season, but he seems to be in a much better place physically entering 2025.

Pacheco may share some of the workload with Kareem Hunt, but the Chiefs should feature Pacheco in a decent matchup after adding only ancillary pieces to its running back room during the off-season.

The Chiefs had one of the league’s staunchest run defenses a year ago. During the regular season, Kansas City ranked eighth in yards per game, while allowing just 4.1 YPC to opposing rushers (5th in NFL).
Omarion Hampton is an exciting rookie running back who is expected to start over Najee Harris on Friday. However, Harris should still see plenty of action in the mix, and it could be a low-volume rushing attack, considering Kansas City’s general strength in this area.
