The Los Angeles Chargers visit the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium (1 p.m. ET, CBS) today, and my Chargers vs. Dolphins player props feature quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, along with Oronde Gadsden II and Kimani Vidal.

The Chargers are the 3.5 to 4.5-point betting favorite, and these NFL picks, part of the NFL predictions for Week 6, fade a Tagovailoa passing yards prop while expecting Vidal to hit pay dirt.

💰 Best Chargers vs. Dolphins player prop picks

Our NFL player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.

⬇️ Tua Tagovailoa Under 223.5 passing yards (-113) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tagovailoa finished with 256 passing yards last week against the Carolina Panthers, but don’t be deceived. Most of that damage came early as the Dolphins raced out to a 17-0 lead, and Tagovailoa might have finished around 200 passing yards if not for a late 46-yard strike to Jaylen Waddle.

Without the injured Tyreek Hill to worry about, the Chargers can focus their fourth-ranked pass defense on shutting down tight end Darren Waller and the middle of the field. That strategy worked last week for the Panthers, who held Waller without a catch for the final 40 minutes of the contest and gave up just seven points during that span.

The -113 odds at DraftKings imply a 53.05% probability Tagovailoa goes Under this number, and you can profit $8.85 on a $10 bet. FanDuel is another solid option to bet this prop, listing Tagovailoa’s Under passing yards at 223.5 with -114 juice.

⬇️ Oronde Gadsden II Under 1.5 receptions (+140) ⭐⭐⭐

The Chargers’ biggest priority on offense these days is improving protection of Justin Herbert, who has taken 33 hits over the past three games — the most in the NFL during that span, per TruMedia.

With LA dealing with multiple issues on the offensive line, that’s meant more blocking and less route-running for Gadsden. After breaking out for five catches and 46 yards in Week 3 versus the Denver Broncos, the rookie tight end has seen just four targets and 30 receiving yards in his last two games. Gadsden could also lose snapshare this week to Will Dissly, who is expected to return from injury.

Gadsden Under 17.5 receiving yards is also worth considering, but I’d rather take a shot at a plus-money price on Gadsden to record less than two receptions. You can find +130 at BetMGM, a price that implies 41.67% probability and can return $14 profit on a $10 wager.

⬆️ Kimani Vidal anytime TD scorer (+240) ⭐⭐

Running the ball more is another way to better protect Herbert, and LA offensive coordinator Greg Roman hinted at an increased emphasis on the run game this week. It’s a strategy that makes plenty of sense against Miami, which has allowed the most rushing yards in the NFL after giving up a whopping 239 on the ground last week to Carolina.

LA is also dealing with multiple injuries at running back, so Vidal is expected to share carries with Hassan Haskins in the Chargers backfield. In the anytime TD scorer market, I’d rather back Vidal, who has received limited opportunity so far in the NFL but showed a glimpse of his potential last year when he scored against the Denver Broncos.

Better yet, Vidal (+240) pays more for anytime TD scorer than Haskins (+150) at DraftKings. A $10 bet on Vidal can return $24.00 profit with an implied probability of 29.41%.
