Fireworks are expected in this matchup of playoff contenders in a game with the week’s second-highest projected total (O/U 49.5), which I look to take advantage of with my Chargers vs. Cowboys player props. Dallas is anywhere from a 1.5 to 2.5-point betting favorite ahead of Sunday’s kickoff from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas at 1 p.m. ET (FOX).

My NFL Week 16 predictions back Dak Prescott to rebound nicely from his worst game of the season last week. I also call for a Chargers pass-catcher to snap a two-game drought without a touchdown.

Dak Prescott Over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-134) ⭐⭐⭐

Dak Prescott is coming off just his third game with zero touchdowns while completing a season-low 60.5% of his throws. But I expect a bounce-back from a touchdown standpoint against the Chargers, despite Los Angeles only allowing multiple touchdowns twice this season.

Los Angeles plays man coverage at the second-lowest rate. That's good news for Prescott, who ranks third in completion percentage and fourth in touchdown rate against zone.

Justin Herbert Over 16.5 rushing yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐

Justin Herbert has averaged 29.9 rushing yards per game, the sixth-most among quarterbacks.

Since Dallas’ Week 10 bye, teams are throwing at a league-high rate over expectation against the Cowboys. Dallas also allows the most rushing yards per game to quarterbacks, so Los Angeles would be wise to let Herbert drop back and make things happen with his legs often.

BetMGM is alone among the best sports betting sites with a total under 18.5.

Ladd McConkey anytime touchdown scorer (+165) ⭐⭐

Ladd McConkey leads all Chargers with 715 receiving yards, and he faces a Cowboys defense that's allowed 24 receiving touchdowns to wideouts (four more than any other squad).

Los Angeles has also logged the highest target share to wide receivers this season. It's due for positive regression after entering this week with a league-low 38.9% touchdown rate on red-zone trips in road games this season.
