Best Broncos vs. Eagles Player Prop Picks for Week 5: Brown’s Struggles to Continue

AJ Brown will have another frustrating afternoon, as the Eagles' passing attack once again takes a back seat to the running game.

My best Broncos vs. Eagles player props anticipate more frustration for AJ Brown, ahead of Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET (CBS) game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The Eagles are favored by 4 or 4.5.

Not only will Brown struggle, but one of my best NFL predictions for Week 5 is another lackluster game from Jalen Hurts. Meanwhile, JK Dobbins finds himself in a solid matchup, making his Over one of the best NFL picks of Sunday.

💰 Best Broncos vs. Eagles player prop picks

Our NFL player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.

⬆️ JK Dobbins Over 50.5 rushing yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Dobbins has rushed for at least 63 yards in every game this season, making this the best Broncos vs. Eagles player prop. He’s averaging 5.7 yards per carry, and he just ran for 101 yards in Monday’s win over the Bengals.

While the Eagles are solid defensively, they’ve given up 4.8 yards per carry, which is seventh-worst in the NFL. Additionally, they have just the 12th-ranked run defense, allowing 126.0 yards per game.

The Eagles have only won one-score games this season, so it’s unlikely they’ll blow the Broncos out and make them abandon the run. The only thing stopping this from being a five-star play is that RJ Harvey encroached on Dobbins’ workload last week with 14 carries.

The price of -110 at BetMGM implies a 52.38% chance that Dobbins hits this Over. A $10 bet would win $9.09.

⬇️ Jalen Hurts Under 27.5 passing attempts (-111) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

2-3 paragraphs (75-150 words) on why you’re making this pick. Make sure you’re selective with the number and quality of statistics and trends you use here and prioritize factors that matter in making your case.

Include (at least) one line that mentions the best odds (and sportsbook) available at time of publish, the implied probability at those odds, and the profit on a $10 bet.

Hurts has only thrown more than 27.5 passes once this year. That performance came when he threw 32 against the Rams, as he led the Eagles back from a 19-point deficit. In all other games this year, he has attempted 24 or fewer passes.

The Broncos have the 11th-ranked rush defense in the league, and they’ve given up at least 300 passing yards twice. Still, the Eagles are a run-first offense with the second-most attempts in the NFL entering Week 5. Unless the Broncos go up big in this game, which seems unlikely as they’re traveling across the country to play in the 1 p.m. ET window, Hurts will attempt 27 or fewer passes for the 10th time in 13 games.

DraftKings’ price of -111 implies a 52.61% chance that Hurts attempts fewer than 27.5 passes. A $10 bet would pay $9.01.

⬇️ AJ Brown Under 58.5 receiving yards (-111) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The only time Brown has topped 27 yards this season was when he went for 109 against the Rams in a game that the Eagles were trailing the majority of. Omitting that game, Brown has just eight catches for 42 yards. Twice, he’s managed single digits, and last week, he caught just two of nine targets.

The Eagles have shown a reluctance to go to the passing attack unless necessary, which is why they rank 31st in the league with just 138.0 yards per game. Brown leads the Eagles in targets with 28, but he and Hurts have connected on just 50% of those passes. Hurts’ connections with DeVonta Smith (17 of 20), Saquon Barkley (14 of 16), and Dallas Goedert (12 of 13) have been much more effective.

The -111 available at DraftKings implies a 52.61% chance he hits this Under. A $10 bet would pay $9.01.
