Best NFL Survivor Pick Week 7: Why Chiefs Are Top Pick for Your Survivor Pool

As we are nearing the midway point in the NFL season and survivor pool entries continue to dwindle, some contestants may change their strategy to only use the best NFL survivor pick going forward. We have you covered with that pick for Week 7, backing it with five stars of confidence that it will help you survive another week.
After overcoming some early-season struggles, the Kansas City Chiefs are earning more confidence in being used in NFL picks. Read on for why the defending AFC champions are our best NFL survivor pick this week to be used as part of our NFL predictions for Week 7.
🏆 Best NFL survivor pick: Chiefs over Raiders
Kansas City’s 3-3 record is the result of a daunting schedule that featured four opponents that are currently 4-2 or better. But if you did not use the Chiefs in survivor pools in a Week 3 road matchup against the New York Giants, this is the best opportunity to risk your survivor pool lives on them now.
This week's NFL odds agree, as Kansas City’s moneyline odds have shortened from -700 (at an 87.50% implied probability) to as high as -850 (89.47% implied odds).
Dominance against division rivals
Patrick Mahomes is 10-2 SU as a double-digit favorite against AFC West opponents. While both of those losses were against the Raiders, the Chiefs are not in danger of losing this game after winning 11 straight home games against AFC opponents and 13 straight as home favorites overall.
Kansas City is coming off a 13-point win against the Detroit Lions, scoring four touchdowns and kicking a field goal among its six red-zone drives. It added up to the Chiefs’ second game with at least 30 points this season and the team’s best offensive efficiency in a game since the start of 2023.
Chiefs are (finally) healthy at receiver
Having Xavier Worthy healthy and on the field has done wonders for the Chiefs offense. In the 37% of plays he has been on the field for, Kansas City has averaged 7.1 yards per play while Mahomes has an 8:0 touchdown-to-interception ratio. That 7.1 yards per play average would be on pace to lead all 32 NFL teams this season.
When Worthy has been off the field for 63% of the team’s plays, Mahomes has a 3:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio, and the team has averaged 5.0 yards per play.
Adding to Kansas City’s abundance of riches is the fact that it gets fellow wide receiver Rashee Rice back from a six-game suspension. Rice should have no problem re-acclimating to the offense quickly, as he caught 24 of 29 targets for 288 yards and two touchdowns in the first three games of last season before suffering an injury.
The Chiefs were used in 676 Circa Survivor entries in Week 3, which made up 4.9% of the remaining entries at the time. With few wise opportunities to use them before and after, expect Kansas City to be among the most popular picks this week, especially as the only double-digit favorite on the Week 7 slate.
