Minnesota Vikings running back Jordan Mason became a fantasy football darling last year when he replaced the injured Christian McCaffrey in the San Francisco 49ers backfield and ran for 147 yards in his debut. He now has a similar opportunity in Minnesota, becoming the Vikings’ feature back in the absence of injured veteran Aaron Jones.
I’m not convinced Mason will put up huge rushing numbers against a Cincinnati defense that has held opponents to a respectable 3.7 yards per carry this season, especially with the Bengals able to load the box against backup quarterback Carson Wentz. But I do expect Wentz to look for Mason in the passing game.
Mason drew three targets last week after Jones was injured, and Jones was targeted three times in the Vikes’ season opener. Meanwhile, Cincy has been vulnerable through the air against opposing running backs, allowing 13 completions and 111 passing yards in its first two games.
Mason’s receiving yardage prop is commonly found at 14.5 yards, but you can find 13.5 at FanDuel. The -114 odds on the Over suggest a 53.3% probability, and you can profit $8.77 on a $10 bet.

Whenever a team is forced to start its backup quarterback, it’s easy to assume it’ll lead to a greater workload for the running back.
However, that might not be the case in Cincinnati, where the Bengals have shown they are happy to keep chucking it with Jake Browning under center. Browning threw 32 times in relief of Joe Burrow last week and attempted at least 33 throws in four of his final six starts in 2023.
Meanwhile, Brown has had difficulty getting things going on the ground this season, rushing for 47 yards last week after managing just 43 in Week 1. I expect those struggles to continue versus a Minnesota run defense motivated to bounce back after allowing 218 rushing yards to the Atlanta Falcons last week.
DraftKings is offering the best price for Brown Under rushing yards bettors, setting the total at 70.5 - four yards higher than BetMGM - with -115 juice. Those odds imply a -115 probability to profit $8.70 on a $10 bet.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas is a clear #3 on the depth chart behind Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, but Browning isn’t afraid to look his way. Iosivas was the target on a key fourth-down play in last week’s comeback win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, drawing a pass interference penalty to extend Cincy’s game-winning drive.
The chemistry between Browning and Iosivas extends back to 2023, when they connected for touchdowns in two of Browning’s seven starts. The duo also has extensive experience getting backup reps together in Cincinnati’s last three training camps.
FanDuel’s odds imply just an 11.1% chance that Iosivas hauls in a touchdown this week, but the value of the +850 price (compared to just +600 at DraftKings and +650 at Caesars) still makes this a three-star play for me. If he does find the end zone, a $10 wager would return a handsome $80.00.
