I’m looking at the best Bears vs. Lions player props for Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET (FOX) game at Ford Field in Detroit. The Lions are favored by 6 or 6.5 points as they look to bounce back from a poor showing in Week 1.

Below, I dive into three NFL picks for Rome Odunze, Jared Goff, and Jahmyr Gibbs as part of my best NFL predictions for Week 2.

Last season, all five of the Bears’ touchdowns against the Lions came through the air, with four of those scores coming from wide receivers. In Week 1, Packers QB Jordan Love completed 72% of his passes against the Lions’ secondary and threw two touchdowns, so I expect Chicago signal-caller Caleb Williams to pick up where he left off against this defense.

Receiver Rome Odunze led the Bears in receptions and targets in Week 1. He also caught a one-yard touchdown late. DJ Moore was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice after suffering an injury last week, but his presence doesn’t concern me for Odunze, as Moore was targeted just five times last week.

Odunze’s best price to score is +210 at both Caesars and FanDuel. This implies he has a 32.26% chance of scoring. A $10 bet would pay $21.

⬆️ Jared Goff Over 0.5 interceptions (+120) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Dating back to last season, Lions quarterback Jared Goff has thrown six interceptions in his last three games, including one against the Packers last week. Early-season struggles have been the norm for Goff. He threw at least one interception in his first three games last season, and in 2023, he threw an interception in three of his first four games.

Goff didn’t throw any interceptions against the Bears last season, but he threw five against them the year before. The Bears intercepted 11 passes last season, and they picked off Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy once last week. Goff is at home, but he threw nine interceptions there last season, so I’m surprised he’s not favored to throw a pick here.

The price of +120 available at BetMGM implies a 45.45% chance he throws an interception in this game. A $10 bet would pay $12.

⬆️ Jahmyr Gibbs Over 67.5 rushing yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs only managed 19 yards on nine carries in Week 1, which will certainly have some worried about him entering this week. However, it’s clear the Lions’ offensive game plan is to get him the ball as often as possible, as he also finished Sunday’s game with 10 receptions.

Last week, the Vikings averaged 4.6 yards per carry against the Bears. They accumulated 120 rushing yards, 68 of which belonged to Jordan Mason. Gibbs averaged at least 4.7 yards per carry in both games against the Bears last season, as he produced 87 and 109-yard games.

This line feels like a Week 1 overreaction, and I think this number will increase before kickoff. Get in now, as DraftKings’ offer implies Gibbs has a 52.38% chance of hitting this Over. A $10 bet would pay $9.09.
