The Atlanta Falcons enter a season of uncertainty with longtime quarterback Matt Ryan gone to Indianapolis and star wide receiver Calvin Ridley suspended for the season. Can Atlanta succeed with quarterback Marcus Mariota? Check out the Falcons’ futures odds, picks, and preview for the upcoming season.
The Falcons finished 7-10 last season in what would end up being Ryan’s last under center with the club after an impressive 13-year tenure. The offense will have a completely different look with Mariota entering as quarterback and a plethora of other new faces on both sides of the ball.
Here’s our 2022 NFL season preview for the Atlanta Falcons with a look at the team’s futures markets and our top picks (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook).

Atlanta Falcons 2022 Picks
Over 5 wins (+125 via DraftKings)To finish third in NFC South (+225 via DraftKings)Cordarrelle Patterson and Kyle Pitts Over 11.5 combined regular-season touchdowns (+100 via DraftKings)Pitts Over 875.5 receiving yards (-112 via FanDuel)
Over 5 Wins (+125)
The Falcons have welcomed many new faces this offseason, including Drake London, Bryan Edwards, and Mariota. The new quarterback's ability to extend plays with his mobility should keep the offense moving.
Atlanta won seven games last year. It should reach that number again with the combination of new, talented players and the return of some quality veterans.

To Finish Third In NFC South (+225)
It is no surprise that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the favorites to win the division after going 13-4 last year. The New Orleans Saints weren't the same powerhouse team without Drew Brees but still finished second last year at 9-8.
Only the Carolina Panthers finished behind Atlanta with a 5-12 record. Carolina added quarterback Baker Mayfield, but I don’t think they’ve done enough, and Christian McCaffrey’s durability is still in question.
I expect all four teams to finish in the same positions they did last season.
Patterson And Pitts Over 11.5 Combined Regular-Season Touchdowns (+100)
This may be my favorite Falcons futures bet to take this season. Patterson finished with 11 touchdowns on his own in 2021, and Pitts had one.
Patterson is unlikely to take too big of a step back, especially with the lack of receiving or running options on the Falcons. Meanwhile, Pitts should experience some positive regression and see more red-zone looks in his sophomore campaign.
Pitts had 12 receiving touchdowns in his final collegiate season, and he'll be closer to that number this year than the lone touchdown he recorded in 2021.
Pitts Over 875.5 Receiving Yards (-112)
Pitts proved the doubters wrong last year with 68 receptions for 1,026 receiving yards. He now teams up with a new quarterback, though Mariota has a history of targeting tight ends. He frequently connected with Delanie Walker during his days with the Tennessee Titans.
Quarterbacks often need a safety valve when learning a new offensive scheme. Pitts could become that option in his second year in the NFL.
