Brock Purdy and Co. look to defy the odds again when they face NFC West rival Seattle in Saturday's Divisional Round at Lumen Field (8 p.m. ET, FOX), and I'm backing the road underdog to stay within a converted score of the No. 1 seed in my 49ers vs. Seahawks prediction.

The Seahawks are the 7 or 7.5-point betting favorite to advance to their first NFC Championship since losing in the Super Bowl 12 years ago. Despite having a palpable rest disadvantage and being banged up, my NFL Divisional Round predictions love the continued resilience shown by Kyle Shanahan's squad.

Get this number while you still have the chance, as I can't see the 49ers remaining as the 7.5-point betting underdog for long.

While facing the Super Bowl odds betting favorite at Lumen Field represents a gargantuan task, especially after Kittle's injury, the 49ers are 8-2 ATS on the road, repeatedly proving they are the league's most resilient team. They defied the odds again, this time against the defending Super Bowl champion on the road. 

I expect the well-rested Seahawks to advance, but it won't be as easy as this spread suggests. Adversity brings out the best in some teams, and the 49ers are the best current case study.
