Our NFL player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.

⛏️ 49ers first touchdown scorer prediction: Christian McCaffrey, RB (+650) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The 49ers are severely limping on offense heading into this game - Mac Jones steps under center for the injured Brock Purdy while wide receivers Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall and tight George Kittle also remain out.

Those injuries are expected to be such a heavy factor that the 49ers started out as just 2.5-point underdogs in the Thursday Night Football odds before moving all the way to +9 at some sportsbooks.

With few of his regular options elsewhere, the journeyman Jones will no doubt seek familiarity early in the game. And for the 49ers, the one steadily healthy option so far has somehow been McCaffrey.

He has yet to score on the ground so far, but CMC has hit pay dirt twice as a pass-catcher. That's how he supplies the most value both to the 49ers tonight and to us, as the tailback is tied for third leaguewide in red-zone targets (8) and second in overall targets (43) after recording double-digit looks in three of four games.

If McCaffrey scores first, a $10 bet on him through these +650 odds from DraftKings would result in a $65 payout on an implied probability of 13.33%.

🐏 Rams first touchdown scorer prediction: Davante Adams, WR (+650) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Adams isn't far behind McCaffrey in volume, sitting in a seven-way tie for eighth leaguewide at 35 targets. And, like McCaffrey, he's a consistent red-zone threat. Adams ranks second in the league with nine targets there and, even more critically, is tied with Amon-Ra St. Brown for the most opportunities inside the 10-yard line with six.

The Rams, quite rightfully, often look to their large-bodied receiver who has built his career around winning contested catches. He gets far more chances in that regard than Puka Nacua, who's only been given two red-zone targets thus far. That's contributed to Adams scoring in three straight games.

If Adams continues to get high-volume red-zone looks and that turns into the opening touchdown, a $10 bet on him through these +650 betting odds from bet365 would translate to $65 in profit with an implied probability of 13.33%.

🎯 Best long shot to score first touchdown: Demarcus Robinson, WR, 49ers (+2200) ⭐⭐⭐

This price is so long mostly because envisioning the 49ers scoring much at all, let alone first, is tough given their injuries. In addition to the increasingly slanted spread against them, the best sports betting sites are also giving the Niners a team scoring total of just 16.5.

But that plays to our advantage here with Robinson, who's also featured in our 49ers vs. Rams parlay. Tonight will be only Robinson's second game back from serving a suspension, but the 49ers will be forced to thrust him into a significant role given their widespread pass-catcher injuries.

That likely workload alone makes these odds for Robinson to score first double-take inducing, especially since we're talking about a receiver who scored seven times last year. Even better, he's a burner who thrives while stretching the field and doesn't need red-zone targets to score, which he showed with his 16.3 yards per catch last campaign.

If Robinson crosses the goal line first, a $10 bet using these juicy +2200 odds from DraftKings would lead to a $220 profit, with an implied probability of 4.35%.
