Best 49ers vs. Buccaneers Player Prop Picks for Week 6: Egbuka Supernova Incoming?

Emeka Egbuka has continued to defy expectations with each game of his standout rookie season. Without Mike Evans, Chris Godwin or Bucky Irving available on Sunday, he is the last man standing.

My best 49ers vs. Buccaneers player props envision a come down for San Francisco after last week’s thrilling performance against the Rams. This week, it’s the Buccaneers on the other side of the matchup dealing with major attrition to their offense, too.

Our NFL picks lean into Emeka Egbuka as the last man standing for the Bucs, while identifying some potential tough sledding for Christian McCaffrey—at least in one aspect of his performance on Sunday.

I close out my NFL predictions for Week 6 in this matchup by targeting the Niners backup TE on a plus-money anytime TD scorer prop that matches the weak spot of the Tampa defense.

The action for 49ers vs. Buccaneers kicks off from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS).

💰 Best 49ers vs. Buccaneers player prop picks

Our NFL player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.

⬆️ Emeka Egbuka Over 72.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Emeka Egbuka has continued to defy expectations with each game of his standout rookie season. But without Mike Evans, Chris Godwin or Bucky Irving available to assist Baker Mayfield on Sunday, Egbuka is the last man standing.

Egbuka has increased his robust production in each of the past three games, logging 85, 101 and 163 receiving yards across those respective contests. I would aggressively target his receiving yards prop deep into the 80s against a San Francisco defense allowing a moderate 207.6 passing yards per game.

FanDuel offers the best odds on this prop at -114 odds on Over 72.5 yards. The implied probability at those odds is 53.27%. A winning $10 wager on this prop would profit $8.77.

⬇️ Christian McCaffrey Under 56.5 rushing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Christian McCaffrey is once again expected to serve as the focal point of the San Francisco offense, but I’m expecting the unit led by Mac Jones (who is officially Questionable) to come back down to earth after Kyle Shanahan’s masterful gameplan got the group over the hump against the Rams last week.

Tampa Bay boasts the eighth-ranked run defense in the NFL, allowing just 92.4 yards per game on the ground. Saquon Barkley, Breece Hall, Nick Chubb and Bijan Robinson have all been held below this 56.5-yard rushing line by the Buccaneers defense, and McCaffrey has done most of his damage though the air, anyway.

On the ground, CMC has racked up more than 57 rushing yards just once in five games. DraftKings offers the best line on this prop for Under bettors, with -115 odds on Under 56.5 rushing yards. The implied probability at those odds is 53.49%. A winning $10 wager on this prop would profit $8.70.

🔥 Jake Tonges anytime TD scorer (+280) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

With George Kittle still on injured reserve, this matchup against the Buccaneers could be another productive one for backup 49ers tight end Jake Tonges—particularly as Mac Jones progresses the offense toward the goal line.

Tonges has three touchdowns on the season and could match up well against Tampa Bay, which has surrendered four receiving touchdowns to tight ends across five games this season, tied for the second-most in the NFL.

Tonges caught a touchdown from Jones in Week 5 as part of a solid connection displayed between the duo (7/41/1). The best odds on this prop come from bet365 at +280, equating to an implied probability of 26.32%. A winning $10 wager on this prop would profit $28.00.
