Hodge's defense is legit, which is why I have the Mountaineers beating Creighton by two points.

West Virginia has had a respectable season under Hodge, with the program losing just six games to teams that didn't reach the NCAA Tournament. That's because WVU's defense is one of the best in the nation, ranking No. 17 in efficiency (97.0) and allowing an effective field-goal percentage of 48.1%.
Creighton's offense has no identity, ranking No. 99 in effective field-goal percentage, No. 170 in turnover rate, No. 285 in offensive rebound rate, and No. 344 in free-throw rate. And their defense is equally uninspiring.
If the Bluejays let WVU dictate the pace of the game, they'll be in trouble.

As much as I can appreciate Creighton hoping to send McDermott out with a pair of wins and a College Basketball Crown trophy, I don't like this matchup for the Bluejays. Their offense has been atrocious, and they have rarely beaten teams that are better than them on paper.
With the Mountaineers' defense leading the way, I'd bet them to cover up to -1.5 (or take the moneyline at any price shorter than -140). And I like the Under at any number above 132.5.
