My UConn vs. Xavier predictions believe in the No. 4 Huskies (12-1, 2-0) ending the year on a strong note in their road tilt with the Musketeers (9-4, 1-1). Tipoff is at 5 p.m. ET tonight at the Cintas Center, streaming on Peacock.

UConn, which is an 11.5-point favorite, hasn’t played in 10 days since extending its win streak to eight straight at DePaul. The Huskies should keep it rolling on New Year’s Eve.

UConn -11.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Dan Hurley’s squad has been dominant this season, with UConn’s lone loss coming at the hands of No. 1 Arizona. The Huskies have been double-digit favorites in their last three outings, posting an average margin of victory of 15 (2-1 ATS) during that stretch.

UConn has been an elite defensive team this year. The Huskies rank fourth in adjusted defensive efficiency and have only allowed one team to score more than 63 points during their eight-game win streak.

If Xavier can’t score, I expect UConn to pull away. This line is 12.5 at FanDuel, so I’ll grab the better spread at Caesars.

Score prediction: UConn 79, Xavier 65

Alex Karaban, F, UConn: Over 1.5 3-pointers (+130) ⭐⭐⭐

Xavier is allowing opponents to earn 26.5% of its scoring production from 3-point range, which ranks 318th in the country. UConn forward Alex Karaban comes in with great form as one of the team’s top 3-point threats.

Karaban has knocked down multiple triples in three of his past four games, going 8-for-15 during that stretch. He’s cleared this Over in eight different contests this season. I like the +130 price for Karaban to maintain his momentum.
