The No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies clash with the No. 8 Nebraska Cornhuskers in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament as we delve into our Texas A&M vs. Nebraska player props based on the best March Madness odds.

The Texas A&M Aggies entered the conference tournament as a bubble team but defied expectations by mounting a significant run despite being considered slight underdogs for their NCAA Tournament opener. Despite long odds of +10000 to win the conference, they managed to surprise the SEC by upsetting the Kentucky Wildcats before ultimately falling short. Now, facing the potent offense of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Aggies will rely on the confidence gained from their impressive performance in the conference tournament as they aim to continue their momentum.

Under the guidance of former Chicago Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg, the Nebraska Cornhuskers emerge as one of the NCAA Tournament's most intriguing teams. Notably, two of their top players hail from Japan and the Netherlands, contributing to a diverse roster. Renowned for its heavy reliance on the 3-point shot, Nebraska is favored by 1.5 points, according to our best sports betting sites.

As part of our March Madness predictions, here is our best Texas A&M vs. Nebraska prediction and college basketball picks (odds via our best March Madness betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Texas A&M vs. Nebraska odds

Texas A&M (9) vs. Nebraska (8) prediction: South Region

Keisei Tominaga Over 13.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -114 via FanDuel

It took Hoiberg five seasons to turn the Cornhuskers around, but he's finally brought the program to its first NCAA Tournament since 2013-14. He got Nebraska to the big dance by leaning heavily on its perimeter attack and finding players with unlimited range. That's what has made the Japanese-born Keisei Tominaga such a perfect fit in Lincoln, Neb.

Tominaga has been the catalyst for Hoiberg's offense all season, helping it rank 36th in adjusted offensive efficiency, per KenPom, while putting up 77.6 points per game. The senior leads the team in points per game (14.9) and 3-pointers per game (2.3), and was even better when the Cornhuskers needed it most.

Tominaga averaged 15.1 points and shot 38.2% from three on 6.2 attempts per game in Big Ten play this season and was at his best down the stretch. Over his last four games, Tominaga has averaged 22.2 points while shooting 40% from behind the arc.

With the way the Cornhuskers star has played recently, the Aggies will have their hands full. Texas A&M is just 57th in adjusted defensive efficiency and allows the 23rd most 3-pointers per game in the country (8.8). This is a tough matchup for Texas A&M with Nebraska living and dying by the three.

There's a little bit of variance on Tominaga's line from our three best sports betting apps offering player props on the Texas A&M vs. Nebraska game. Clearly, FanDuel is offering the best line, and while we'd take both DraftKings and bet365's lines, getting longer odds and needing one less point is an incredible value. We'd take the Over up to 15.5 points with odds as short as -120.

According to our odds calculator, the -120 odds at DraftKings imply a 54.55% probability Tominaga hits the Over on 14.5 points, but we need only 14. On top of that, the -114 odds at FanDuel give us a $8.77 profit on a $10 bet if he finishes with 14 points, which he's done 19 times this season.

Texas A&M vs. Nebraska spread & Over/Under analysis

After Nebraska opened as a 2.5-point favorite across our best live betting sites, the Cornhuskers are now favored by just 1.5. We expect that line to rebound with a little more movement in Nebraska's direction by tip-off. The Cornhuskers have been strong ATS this season at 21-12 and have covered in 11 of their last 15 games. The Aggies are just 16-18 ATS.

Despite Nebraska's 3-point-heavy offense, the game total opened as low as 143.5 at our best sportsbooks. It's since come up to as high as 147.5 at BetMGM and could still move up a point or two. Nebraska is 21-11-1 for Over bettors this season while Texas A&M isn't far behind at 21-13.
