In last year’s meeting, a 73-70 Ohio State road win, the Boilermakers allowed a season-high 19 points off the dribble.
And if Buckeyes center Christoph Tilly misses a second straight game with a calf injury, Purdue has a higher ceiling offensively with being able to play smaller with Trey Kaufman-Renn at the five spot.

In last year’s win over Purdue, the Boilermakers had difficulty keeping Royal out of the paint, as he attempted 10 free throws (one of five games with double-digit free throw attempts).
He finished with 16 points despite settling for just one 3-point shot. However, with the 25th-highest 2-point shooting percentage in league play, he still has a high ceiling.
The biggest reason for this four-star wager is that Purdue limited Buckeyes leading scorer Bruce Thornton to seven field goal attempts last year, and I expect Royal will pick up the scoring slack again.
