After an ugly start to the season, Duke has been among the hottest teams in the country since December. The Blue Devils have climbed the women's March Madness odds behind a defense that's allowing the fewest PPG in ACC play (54.6).
With Canadian Toby Fournier (2.2 BPG) protecting the rim, NC State's offense has a difficult matchup. The Wolfpack rely on their inside game, averaging just 18.9 threes per game.
Meanwhile, Wes Moore's team has had defensive issues this season, and could struggle to stop Fournier inside and the guard combo of Ashlon Jackson and Taina Mair on the outside.

Duke may have started the season 3-6, but the Blue Devils have been a force in the ACC. They've yet to lose a conference game and have been blowing out opponents at home. That's why I'm bullish on the Blue Devils, despite the large spread (I'd take them up to -12.5).
Fournier is one of the best players in the country and has nasty guards supporting her in Jackson and Mair. That trio has helped Duke beat unranked ACC opponents at home by an average of 31.1 points.
